Okay, maybe I missed the error notification, but I just tried to post a discussion and ... it's gone. I didn't see anythign telling me I couldn't post, it seemed to post okay, and then poof, post vanished. And It was just a discussion thread for what we hope to see in the livestream. I can see it in my Followed Topics, but…
Gonna say, I'm not a fan of using tags in place of sub-forums. In my experience, people will either not remember to use them (guilty) or misuse them - either by using too many tags to try to get more eyes on it, or else by just guessing wrong about what tags should be used. On top of that, there's the question of can we…
I'll wait for the let's plays, but a romance pack was always going to be a hard sell, as I'm not big into romance in the first place and most of what we've had so far has been very... conventional and samey. The options chosen to show off "create a date" didn't exactly change my mind on that, and we didn't even have a…
I'm not much of one for Romantic Gameplay in the first place. I just have little interest in it. I also don't play with mods anymore, as I don't like hanging my gameplay on someone else's life being smooth enough for them to have the time, energy, and inclination to keep their mods updated.
At this rate, it's going to be on the Creator Network to get me to care about this pack, because nothing EA has produced thus far is getting me beyond "oh, that looks cool" interested in the Build/Buy stuff. I've had zero interest in the gameplay (to be fair, a romance pack was going to be a hard sell for me anyway.)
Oh, hey, the forums haven't moved yet. I just... cannot get hyped for this pack. I don't think it's bad or anything, but this sort of active romance just isn't part of the stories I'm interested in exploring with my game. And until we get a good, solid look at the world (so... livestream, maybe, if the Gurus involved…
I don't want Faeries in an Expansion Pack, I want them in their own game pack. Occults do so much better when they get their own packs that they don't have to share with fifty other tangental systems on a similar theme. I will take a Bands Expansion pack though, and I'll happily use them with said Faerie Game Pack. (I'm…
I'd say I'll come back to this after the gameplay trailer, but odds are we'll be in forum limbo at the time. The bonus items don't jump out at me, and I didn't see enough of the build/world to fall in love with that (though what I did see, I generally liked - except for the Kitchy stuff.) The systems aren't my cup of tea…
Nothing really jumped out at me as "oh, I have got to get that. It will so improve my gameplay experience" And reading the blog, some may screw it up (at least without cheats/mods, though I'm trying to play vanilla only so I don't have to worry about keeping mods updated.) I guess I'll wait for the builders to analyze the…
Oh, it's strictly a "Me being lazy in my gameplay" thing. I'm already short on my sims having enough time in the day for everything I want them to do. I don't want to add "trying to keep their weight/muscle at an apreciated level by their partner" to the list.
As long as the characteristics for Turn ons-offs don't include Body Type (including Weight/Muscle) or Skin Color, I think I'll be okay with that. Ideally things like Tattoos (if included) should only apply if said tattoo is visible, but I don't think the game engine can handle that.
Well, a couple of times I logged in and played. A few more times I logged in long enough to get the daily item then immediately quit. So if the intention was to get me to play more... it didn't work. Those times I played I would have played anyway. (And by "play" I mean "build" because I'm prepping for a new story.) And…
With Residential Rental lot typs only being available with the For Rent pack, any time they want to include apartments in a pack going forward, it will still be the old City Living/Eco Lifestyle apartments. Adding Residential Rentals will be for those who have the For Rent Pack. I hope the trailer shows off the world well.…
I almost said both, but then I realized that even when I wasn't playing with an occult, I was playing with things that I'm just never going to get the chance to do in real life (Okay, it's not impossible that I may end up on an archeological dig. Just very very very (repeat until you get tired of saying it) unlikely.)
I dunno about the barely reacting, at least since sentiments. I had a sim get caught in bed with a sim not his spouse. She slapped him ... once when it happened, and once a few days later because the sentiment hadn't worn off. I don't remember if she developed a negative sentiment against the partner, however (I want to…
I'm going to assume that this is tied to your account, because if it's tied to the install... That's going to be a pain in the neck for a lot of people, not to mention very short sighted on the part of the Sims team (though it wouldn't be the first time...) I'm sure this will appeal to a certain kind of player (not me) and…
I'm a very "Romance is B-plot/C-plot" sort of gal (I like it, I just like it to be secondary or tertiary to the main plot) So this pack is going to need something else to catch my attention to get me on the hype train. In the trailer, I'd want to see... couples of all types depicted, "storyline" focuses on a M/M pairing…
All I ask of Romantic Gameplay is that it not be one size fits all, and instead impacted by a Sim's Likes and Traits. All of them. I want all the cross pack compatibility they can give me, here. I want a date to Geek Con to be romantic for Geek Sims. I want a camping trip to Granite Falls to be Romantic for sims who love…
Oh, I would absolutely take six months to a year of nothing but kits and bugfixes. I just think there are also a lot of people who would think that was a terrible idea.
Let me think here... 4 major packs (2 EP, 2 GP) is certainly plausible, but I think 3 is more likely. 2 EPs (Bands, Hotels) and 1 GP (Faeries) 2-3 SPs (Grim Graveyard, Nursury Stuff, Hussle free hobbies) Assorted Kits. BG Cars update I hope (I still don't need them drivable, so I'll take a Garage Stuff pack as an…
I haven't picked up the latest two yet, and I will only grab Bust the Dust if it's free (mostly as I have zero interest in adding more chores to my sim's lives, and 5 props + debug aren't worth the money. I play to tell stories, not watch my sims do the same boring real life stuff I have to deal with.) I get why people…
While I haven't had an actually disruptive death in a while (an unexpected one, but not distruptive) I play "Heir and spare" legacy for a reason. :) Death happens, and I just roll with it.
One thing I'm going to say about a Romance pack - it needs to either include an option for us to decide (similar to likes and dislikes) what our sim finds romantic, or (better, possibly easier) take traits/likes into consideration. A geek should find a date to Geekcon romantic (cross pack compatibility) or an evening…
Thinking about it, a Tron/Matrix esqe comedy where some poor fool from our world ends up in The Sims and has to get help from Iconic characters to get home might be kinda fun. I definately don't want a Sim either becoming self aware or visiting our world. That's too similar to Barbie for my tastes. Any story that's wholely…
EA is mentioned as being involved in at least one of the articles I've read on it. But as the film is still in Pre-Prodcution, they probably aren't ready to do any promotions on it yet. We might get some early promotional shots once they're starting filming, but that probably won't be for a few months yet. Edit - it may be…
