Thank you both for the replies. This is a letdown for certain. The way things are I could as well run the clinic on my own and save the employee payments - well I could keep two and let one just do the cleaning and the other one treats. ~humpf~ There is another family member but she is a programmer with her own job.
@fluffystar: I see you are new here. So welcome to the club of the disappointed. Look around, we got countless threads dealing with the flaws of Sims 4 but alas EA/Maxis don't listen. Keep it up anyways, it's all we can do - well this and not buying any more Sims 4 stuff.
If that's true then it's an even bigger shame! If that's true I hereby officially apologize by the suits and blame the studio(*) for all that misconception and that ignorance for all the outcries of the fans. (*) : which has also a suit on a throne, I guess.
I wonder why this has been moved to the off topic chat section. This is about Sims 4. The name "The Sims 4" wasn't mentioned explicitly but this sure is about the misconceptions regarding this game and the customer relationship.
Absolutely yes but as in most cases, the suits want to see a fast ROI. :( Instead of survival trainings for managers, they should take classes for this.
The problem with the clean code approach is that it takes more time in the beginning and that's where the "suits" fail to see the benefit in the long run.
I don't deny there still exist developers who write spaghetti code, mostly because they are so called "duct tape programmers". They don't give any thoughts into software architecture but luckily that's not the usual way. Most professional developers today strive for quality code based on certain principles like SOLID. Also…
My enthusiasm went -poof- when I saw the first screenshots of TS4 together with the announcement of the closed world. Oh and god plays no role in it. Better make your voice heard loud and clear by the ones responsible for this mess. The only language they understand though, is money. So I suggest you talk with your wallet…
See that's what I don't understand. That article summarizes facts. Not agreeing with this article means not agreeing with facts, which means denying reality. This all is not even about family play anymore. This is about how EA lied to their fans throughout the time ever since the announcement of Sims 4! How can anyone…
Open world. There's not much lagging in Sims 3 here. I wonder what people mean when they talk about lag. Is it lagging already for you if you have less than 60FPS or do you mean lagging = game freezes for several seconds? I am asking because I know comments from GTA V where people already start complaining if they get less…
About the part I have highlighted in bold letters: I have the feeling they have lost many players already and for me personally they failed with this strategy (if that really is their strategy). I know what I want, I know what I don't want and they lied too often to us to make me believe ANYTHING before I see it. Well I'm…
To the one who disagreed with me: So it's not true they made false promises all along? Way of denying reality. Have you even cared to read that article?
Thanks so much for sharing this. All in all there was almost nothing new for me (moving funds to other games was) but due to all the sad and bad things which happened since the word "Sims 4" was first published, I forgot some little facts. Seeing those pieces now all summarized to a big picture is a great move and by…
I don't understand this anyway. The game is rated T and the word filter of this forum is more than strict. Otoh woohooing is very much propagated in this game. I think it's because it's highly anticipated and brings much money - and for money, all moral goes overboard. That and maybe that it's normal today for young people…
