I ran the game in Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and it definitely help fix a lot of the lag. But it's still extremely laggy when I go into 3x speed. Is there any way to fix/improve this?
The Sims 2 UC is so laggy on my computer and I have no idea why. I'm pretty sure my computer should be able to run the game fun as it runs all the other sims games fine.

I'm pretty sure you can just go to the neighborhood screen (edit town), select the family, and press the Split Household button. That's a pretty odd glitch!

Interesting! Do you know what date the calendar has marked because the next expansion is rumored to come out mid November.
Don't know if this unpopular or not but... I hate making sims in this game! I have one decent looking sim I made and just use them every single time with different traits, aspirations, and slightly different looks (hair, clothes, eye color, etc). I just find it really annoying and quite difficult to make a sim that doesn't…
I play the Sims 1 off and on again... I can really enjoy it if I play for about 2 hours but any longer and it just gets a little repetitive... I really try to put my self in the mindset of when it was originally released but sometimes it really difficult.
It's happening for me too!! And what's really weird, if you go into offline mode the news feed appears! But as soon as I went back online they disappeared... maybe they are thinking of changing the main menu again?? IDK!?
