Unfortunately it only works on the tea set. The globe bar drinks/ tray are a single object (despite looking like 4 glasses on a tray) so other drinks cannot be slotted into it. You can put other drinks onto the summer drink tray from Backyard Stuff, but there’s no serve/ call to take drink interaction with that one.

It’s still not on any of the catalogues (even the hidden ones) but some people have managed to access the stall (possibly through mods?) and upload it to the gallery. If you search for something like ‘Ice Cream Kiosk’ under rooms you can find the shell+stall combo there (no mods/ cc required).

Milestones were a big feature of the GT gameplay trailer so I highly doubt they are coming in the patch. Sleepovers/ sleeping bags and child bikes were also promoted as pack features (even adult bikes haven’t been added to the BG), I don’t think they’re coming to the base game.

The problem is that they would have to change the jungle part- it’s coded around the fact that sims can only visit while on vacation, so accessible areas change each time, gates reset between vacations etc. If sims can live in the world (or visit at any time without booking a rental lot) this mechanic doesn’t work.…

I don’t think this change would be as simple as some people seem to think, since elements of the gameplay are already tied to the vacation aspect and would have to be remade, like how the parts of the jungle that you can access are designed to change each vacation - that wouldn’t work if the world was simply made…

As a small goodwill gesture I like it. Presumably this means the base game is becoming free around October 18th, so people who already paid for it get the kit for free but those who get the game for free will need to pay for the kit.

Personally I can’t imaging shopping malls being all that interesting. Based on the poll I suspect it may have been a potential idea for the High School pack (along with the Fan Clubs, another idea from the same poll) but was eventually dropped in favour of other ideas like the carnival pier and the boba tea/ thrift hangout.

That’s true, but Strangerville was a GP and the lab lot was tied strictly to the story and had no real benefit/ use outside of it. Schools on the other hand have a very obvious usage in other worlds.

When Maxis first started making kits they stated on Twitter that kits weren’t going to affect pack releases. They also said kits were designed to fill content gaps. If I could add any one recipe to the game it would be Gingerbread Sims. Not only is it great thematically but using the group cooking feature with a parent and their kids to make gingerbread for Winterfest would virtually feel like a new activity for me (Mulled Nectar would also be nice).
