  • University wasn't my top hope for a pack, but for some reason I just really haven't had any interest in an island pack in Sims 4 (which is weird, because I loved Island Paradise in TS3). With that said, after all the island rumors came out, I've managed to build a bit of enthusiasm. I'm sure it'll be a pretty world, at…
  • Yes because I have no life :') But seriously, I've thoroughly enjoyed the last three games pretty well, and unless the hypothetical TS5 is incredibly bad, I know I'm going to buy it. I'm still having fun with TS4, so it's not that I'm especially eager for the next installment to usher it out, but let's be real: if the game…
  • I'll probably play my challenge legacy, since that's what I've been playing the most lately. The general idea is to play a legacy challenge, then use the kids for the next challenge until I get to 100 generations (because I want that achievement!). So far I've finished Not So Berry and Black Widow, and I'm now on I'm A…
  • I haven't decided yet--I'm not big on real-world holidays so I don't really care to recreate them. However, I would like some kind of wedding anniversary commemoration, though I'd have to change it for every new married couple. I'd also like a family reunion, maybe once in summer for a big pool party, and once in winter…
  • I don't play with premades a lot so I don't love any of them, but I like them all well enough. Except the Bro household, but only because I forget it exists and every single time I see Joachin Le Chien in a new game I wonder "who the heck is that???" Edit: Ack, didn't see this thread was so old, sorry.
  • I'm thinking fall in Brindleton Bay, partly because it's been summery since the beginning of time in this game, and partly because then spring will just be starting when the kids in my current game become young adults.
  • Looking through this thread is making me get excited again, and that makes me impatient. :[ I have to keep telling myself that at least it's better than the three months we had to wait for Cats and Dogs. There's only a couple weeks left, which is pretty bearable in comparison.
  • Right now, I'm just working on aging up my family's twins to teens. Their parents are already elders and don't have much time left, so I'll probably stop playing right after they both die and the kids take up the mantle, and then the new generation can start right with Seasons. One of the twins I think will be a florist.…
  • Yes, they're hiding winter--that's why it was in the trailer.
  • Honestly, I didn't even notice (but then again, I haven't lived in a place that got more than a couple inches since I was a baby). I guess I'd rather have deeper snow than not, but it's not a big deal to me.
  • I'm pretty sure that was just trailer magic--the only way pets can die is of old age. So far I've gotten one illness, which was squirrel scratch disease or something. Which makes sense, because that dog kept obsessively jumping into a bush and attacking squirrels.
  • I'm so glad; some of those issues they fixed were really bugging me. Especially the whole not sitting at weddings, not having the "furnished" option available when moving, and those terrible, terrible festival outfits. Thank goodness they fixed the festival outfits. I almost don't care about the sizing down in comparison…
  • I saw the patch notification at the top of the forums and about died before I realized that it was dated October 17th and I was just logged out. :\ This last week is going pretty slowly for me.
  • Well, if we do get boats, that'll be great. I assume they're just decoration that fits well in a coastal town, but who knows.
  • Sims probably get to the island the same way they got to the island in Windenburg: a bit of loading screen magic. I wouldn't complain if we got some kind of vehicles, but I wouldn't read too much into anything we've seen so far. Either way, nice to see there's so little time left to go. This is like the only thread with…
  • Hm... In TS3, horses just went into their stall to woohoo, but since you could see inside the stall there was an enormous censor grid over the whole thing. I guess they could so something like that with cats and dogs? Although going off the lot seems interesting, I hadn't thought about that. I guess it's not much less…
  • Now I just wonder how many people looked at this topic and thought, "hey, what a great idea!" With that said, if a kid sees something rude, it seems like usually they don't think much of it unless they already know what it means.
  • They've confirmed we can make puppies and kittens in CAS, which I'm pretty happy about. They've also said you can't sell pets, but can give them away. I'm not sure if unplayed sims will also give away pets or not, but it would be nice if neighbors could have pets for your sim to adopt like they did in TS3. I don't know how…
  • I'll probably mess around in CAP for a while and try to make my cats, then save them to the gallery and never play with them, lol. I'm also looking forward to trying some CAS pieces on my sims, but that probably won't take as long. Then I'm going to go to the Not So Berry challenge I'm playing now and give those poor sims…
  • You can do that with sims, so I am fairly confident you'll be able to do it with pets.
  • Hey, we're already a third of the way there! Now we just have to wait that long two more times....
  • I keep thinking "oh, now that it's September, I only have to wait one month!" before I remember "oh yeah... October" and get impatient again. Oh well, I'm sure by the time it actually comes out it'll seem like it wasn't so long.
  • I'd love to see the neighborhood fleshed out because I like coastal towns, but that's mostly a side note. What I really want is for my sims' cats to climb on their faces in the middle of the night and wake them up (if I have to suffer, they can too). :P
  • I wonder if there would be a skill similar to parenting in Parenthood, where sims gained skill and experience just by interacting with their children. Maybe they'll have something like that for pets, where every time you pet, scold, praise, or otherwise interact with your pet, you get better at it. I guess that could still…
  • Well, it is the internet. I remember before TS4 even came out and everyone was complaining about how awful and lifeless TS3 was and how they wanted 4 to be TS2 but with better graphics. Fast forward three years, and people are talking about how they miss 3. I think people always find something to complain about. Don't get…
  • I've only had one sim who died of anything but old age in TS4 (RIP Travis Scott, woohooed to death). It was actually hard to accomplish because once he had the overexerted moodlet he refused to do anything else. I think I have the opposite problem of you, since my sims won't drop dead often enough. In fact, I've only had…
  • Phew, switching between controlling more than a couple sims is already a hassle, lol. I'll be glad to let the pets do their own thing. Still, sorry to everyone who wanted to control them. I hope they have that cheat (which I didn't know was there, thanks for the info)!
  • Not sure if you found the answer already, but it looks like you have to collect (a lot of) flashlights and donuts to build it. I don't have enough yet, so I'm not certain, but I'm thinking that's it.
