I'd save the 5 euros until you have ten for an SP you want or a GP sale unless there's a kit you definitely want. If you have everything else you want and would like a kit, go for it. Pick what interests you. I have some of the kits but don't feel I need to have them all.

I find it more immersive to have a lot of variety. I'd get really bored if it were all the same. Also, I like playing with sims that have real world cultural identities. That's just the basis of the character creation and then I either have my sims live their daily lives or come up with plots for them.

I leave the Seasons running and play them whenever it is time in the game. It's not connected to real life but holidays and winter weather do mean more time to play. There isn't a strict rule though.

Most of my sims do. Every so often, I'll have a household that waits if they come from a background for which that makes sense. It's an elaborate rotation so they all have different types of influences depending on who they are in the town/world. I do whatever is right for the couple.
