Let me just start by saying that I really, really appreciate these threads, the 411 streams and the laundry lists for bugs! They are all proof of your dedication to the game and this community. Now for the question at hand - challenge & depth in the Base Game. > I know this has been said over and over again in this thread…
Did you keep your cc in your mods folder while patching the game? I know that can corrupt the files as well. If the cc itself has been changed by the patch you'll have to redownload the files. Another thing to try is to delete the .chache files. They can also get corrupted.
I wasn't big on ts4 at the release but after all the free updates and the news about the first EP I'm feeling the old excitement tingling again which is great! I still miss toddlers immensely but I'm still, maybe naively, hoping that they'll add them again later together with a height-fix for teens. ;) About 'Get to work'…
This exactly! I was thinking about starting a game where you get points for naming any completely new features in ts4, features we haven't had in previous sims games, but then I think about it some more and realize that it would be a pretty sad event..
Agreed! I love the rabbit holes for the careers in TS3 but I also love to go shopping in TS2. Also, if they implement real community lots from the beginning it feels more probable that we'll get businesses TS2-style. 8)
I've also heard that there are going to be three neighborhoods from the get-go and to me it seems like a new take on Pleasantview (Willow Creek), Strangetown and Veronaville. Especially with this picture above which we've seen a long time ago. I'd be thrilled if they were somehow connected and that you could go visit them…
Those exterior pictures are great as comparison shots! I love how the ts4 picture has lots of more details, like an extruded sidewalk etc. I also think that the ts4 house has better proportions in terms of wall height, I really like that new feature! As for the bloom, I really hope that it will be possible to turn it off…
They can't be working that hard those ea-people. It's just ts2 meshes converted to ts3 as it seems. How long will it take until we have all furniture from ts2 I wonder? couldn't we have something new instead?
