Theatres are as close to rabbit-holes as I experience in real life. (Other than, y'know, rabbit-holes). They're not places I go to do much active stuff.
It'd be nice. I suspect it depends how poorly Get to Work sold. A refresh is a great way to sell more copies of an existing set, but they gain nothing if it's something we all already bought. I would love to see more active careers - they're one of my favourite things in the game. Heck, more careers of any kind are always…
It would be nice, but I kinda like the flavour of it as a tiny forgotten clutch of vampires. They are few, and selective, and so remain hidden by choice. I think almost everyone on these forums would like a few more lots on this map and in almost any other. This and Glimmerbrook are the smallest residential ones, I think.…
I think you'd need far more than one kit, as one conspicuous feature of Victorian homes is clutter! People's decoration tended be extremely busy in those days, with trinkets and art pieces on every surface and on a great percentage of the wall. A proper nicknackatory (a word which has sadly fallen out of use).
I'm sure they'd need to rerecord them, as I've never heard of an audio process to add specific accents to a voice. Hmmm... I made a short a while back in Yorkshire-accented German. Now I'm curious to tru various UK-accented Simlish.
I used to send my Sims to university with an inventory full of cars to sell off so they could have a source of cash while going about their studies and new life.
I am delighted by this pack concept, and devastated by its absence. For variety's sake, could its world be based in a dirty borough on London, and full of talk of rubbish bins?
It seems ironic that a light-switch should come with this pack. In the UK, the bathroom is the room where you're least likely to find one, as most properties here have the bathroom light-switch outside the room, or use a pull-string. (I assume it began as a fear of wet hands on old-fashioned metal switches, but persisted…
Presumably because we get one substantial update a month, and we've already had January's one. (That, and the extremely high likelihood that the stream on the 31st is about the impending infancy update)
The drive of that article seems to be that there'll be a bug fix patch today (which may indeed mess up mods), as this normally happens seven days after a laundry list. I'll be very glad if we get a surprise infant update today, but I'm ready to be patiently impatient instead.
I'd be surprised if they dropped them without warning - it'd make sense to have a community stream a few days beforehand. I don't think they've indicated we're getting anything substantial added this month.
I know the forthcoming pack involves family trees, and that (maybe unrelatedly) babies are about to be introduced. Since babies are in an update (and not tied to the expansion pack), do we have any reason to think the new pack will be about generations. (From the few things we do know, it looks more avuncular/materteral,…
This is a bit like saying we don't need any world based on North America because it would just be cactus and tumbleweeds and not much going on there. Africa is a big, big, big real and diverse part of the world with culture and cities and suchlike.
A small thing, but I'd love it if musical knowledge of pianos added to that of organs, and vice versa. That is, if you're a world-class pianost and you sit down at an organ for the first time, you'll already be moderately capable of playing it.
