  • A time travel pack, preferably to the past. Preferably somewhere like ancient Greece. A pack with horses and unicorns! A pack with playable woodwind/brass instruments. It's loooooonggggg overdue.
  • I definitely count the sci-fi ones, as they are fantasy as well. It's true that TS4 has a toooonnnn of packs now. But to get to that 50 number are you counting Kits? You see, I don't really regard kits as significant content. Save for the vacuum one, they haven't really added anything that I couldn't get through CC. So I'm…
  • I've never understood why this couldn't be a thing. Nevertheless, I have a number of mods that allow me to do this and I recommend them. (WonderfulWhims is great for this, IIRC)
  • I guess the thing is actually the point you were making... Lol. The Sims is a series that does what no other series does. The life simulation aspect of it is nowhere else. That makes me prefer the game focus on that. Like zombies? Zombies in video games are a dime a dozen. They're literally everywhere. It's so cliche. A…
  • Easy to say right now, but lets think of a larger scale here. Sure, The Sims 2, 3, and 4 all have the Seasons Expansion Pack now, but for years they didn't. The Sims 4 being the longest wait of four years, with the other two being around three. TS2 I'm rather forgiving on because it was a brand new feature then. But it…
  • Nah, I think Seasons should be in the base-game in full. Perhaps some aspects of it that have been added over the entries could be added in later content, like holidays. But the seasons cycle is just as natural as the day/night cycle. It should be in the base game. Then later packs can integrate with it even better and it…
  • Yes, he was in Unleashed. But he was an NPC. The saxophone was never an instrument for our sims to play.
  • Um... What? You want buzz, you want a crumhorn. I got to play one of those a few years ago. It was a lot of fun. Very buzzy, though, indeed. EA would never, though. They only think of string instruments. Aside from the snake charming instrument (which has never been counted as an instrument) there has never been a playable…
  • Kits seem to be becoming the focus of the development team, and that's disappointing. The vast majority of them aren't worth the asking price. Give us some real content, please.
  • I keep it at the default. I like to keep the seasons moving relatively fast, as that keeps the game interesting for me.
  • I just want unicorns. Don't care for any of the other supernatural stuff, TBH.
  • Is this speculation, or have the developers said so themselves? The Sims 4 is very commonly criticized for the entirety of the experience being nerfed, including the realistic gameplay options, like family play. So this idea that the fantasy elements are being nerfed specifically when the entire game is nerfed and the…
  • You're acting like the occult is something that is to be weighed against the entirety of other features combined, when in reality, it's just a sole theme itself. Thus not having had it for a while when we've had it several times in The Sims 4 is not showing favoritism to everything else, it's just adding different…
  • People are passionate about getting certain things in the game, and when one pack is made, that pack takes up a spot and development time that will never be able to go to something else. Not buying it doesn't magically change that. People are still disappointed, so let them be disappointed. Just like you all are…
  • Hot Date and Nightlife were great additions IMO because they added new types of community lots. IIRC TS1 didn't even have community lots before Hot Date. Both packs added restaurants to their respective games. Sadly, the later games' "night in the city" packs did not, and have charged us for them separately. =/ Can't deny…
  • Brindleton Bay is my favorite. I've always thought The Sims series had too many warm/hot climate worlds. Seeing a world based off of New England coastal towns is very welcome. I'm also biased because I want to live in New England myself. Windenburg is also a fun world to play.
  • I mean, the last two or three Game Packs (up until the Home Designer one, whatever it is called) have been solidly supernatural/sci-fi themed and that was certainly too much of that in a row in my eyes.
  • I can't answer this yet. Paralives looks pretty great so far. If anything it will be a great building similar, but hopefully the gameplay will turn out just as good. The Sims 5 hasn't been revealed, so no solid answer on it yet. Although the rumors of it being an always online, service game certainly turns me off.
  • The Sims 1 - Hot Date The Sims 2 - Seasons The Sims 3 - Seasons The Sims 4 - Seasons I want to answer more varied, but Seasons is just so integral to playing The Sims for me that if it's there, it takes the spot by default.
  • I first played The Sims on the GCN back in 2003. I didn't fully get into The Sims until early 2004 when I began playing it on the PC (I know right before TS2 came out lol), but I did begin back in 2003 so that's how I voted.
  • The Sims 3 Pets wins this one pretty handily. Although I loved the pet shows in Unleashed (IIRC? It's been nearly two decades since I have played it. o.O). And I love the world (Brindleton Bay) of The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs (in fact, it is my favorite world), The Sims 3 Pets is just a mark above everything else. The amount of…
  • I'm very opinionated on Seasons Expansion Packs, so of course I have to answer this one! My answer is The Sims 4. I'm not a big fan of The Sims 4 itself and definitely think it is the weakest entry, so understand I did not choose this answer lightly! First of all, in terms of gameplay, the customizable holiday calender is…
  • The way someone presents their opinion is very important. I'm fine with someone not liking the music and other media, I do, but if they call it "garbage" and attack the people that like it, then we might have a problem. Opinions can also be a result of prejudices. Such as when something new comes out that teen girls like,…
  • I would prefer they do more ancient Greece than modern. But that's just my opinion. I just think that modern style of architecture is a bit jarring to me. Understand I don't mean to be rude, just my opinion.
  • I'm pretty sure it is because of the strange format of The Sims 4's worlds. I've always wondered how that would be achieved. Yes, there is a modder-created version of it coming out, we'll see how that goes.
  • Give me that gorgeous architecture - although there are at least a couple of CC creators out there who have made that possible already. Also, because I'm me and must find any excuse to suggest a wind instrument (lol): Oboe. Maybe people don't associate it with France, but the instrument was developed in France in the early…
  • Easy for me: Alto Saxophone. It may have taken Animal Crossing forever to get it, but it did eventually.
  • There's a modder out there that started making a playable saxophone and flute. I won't mention his name because unfortunately, he posts a lot of very disturbing mods that I don't understand what kind of person could make or enjoy. But we need playable woodwind/brass instruments! I know for a fact it is possible to put…
  • If there's not a woodwind and/or brass instrument I would be soooo mad. As I already am at EA for NEVER giving us one. The leaked promo images for The Sims 4 even showed a Jazzy ensemble with a trumpet, trombone and saxophone but it never became a reality, because of course it didn't. :'( We just got the violin again.…
