I agree whole-heartedly on the memories and scrapbook. I've had them turned off for so long I forgot they were even things the game has. Unfortunately these were more "sounds good in theory but not so much in the actual execution" features.

The bolded part says much about what your problem could be. The more that's not saved, the more your computer has to hold in RAM. I don't play in Windowed mode, it's always full-screen. The only place I noticed increased performance after going to 3Booter was in CASt, which before was unusuable. It didn't really seem to do much for my game but I was/am more concerned about over-heating my GPU than anything else.

Yes, that's very good advice. Around here we need to do that about every three months (we have a lot of dust) and never do it in the house. Sometimes they go out to the shop and the air compressor. We only use the canned air when they're mildly dusty. Either way it has to be done outside.

I think part of the problem with advice on GPU temps comes from what older cards could handle. As requirements have evolved so has the ability to handle the abuse said requirements causes to hardware, so a temperature that might have "melted" a card ten years ago can now be handled with ease.

No, it doesn't mimic real life at all. The juice in the fridge is for all Sims. Juice does not cause problems with pregnancy (unless a mother is prone to gestational diabetes in which case it could push her over the edge).
