When I was first starting out playing the Sims 3 people were whining about how it wasn't as good as the Sims 2 and now that we're in the Sims 4 people have been nonstop complaining about how it's not as good as the Sims 3. Honestly they all feel like the same game with different features and better graphics with each…
My pet peeve about the mourning system is that when your sim is immortal, they end up in mourning all the time if they have a lot of friends. Constant sadness.
It's definitely a fun part of the game to me, especially due to the expansions that add to those life stages. Parenthood is a good pack for them; so is Seasons. It's like a challenge to get them raised properly, and sometimes it's fun to mess with their heads. Trying to raise multiples at once can be a real challenge. It…
I might've already commented on this thread, but I'm going to update based on recent experience. I love the apartments. They bring a challenge to the game play. I'm playing a 4 sim family right now in a tiny apartment in the spice district. It's the one on the ley line. My sims had twins and now they're trying to save up…
There are a few mods out there that I don't think we can mention here, but they greatly improve the criminal aspect of the game, but I don't play with them much because I feel bad about using game altering mods, especially M for mature ones for some reason lol. Mods aside, you could do the criminal career, and make as many…
Sorry for not getting back to you, I wasn't notified about your post. I stumbled on your reply by accident. The experience of vampires in the Sims 4 is great. The Sims team did a wonderful job and it really shows off how talented they are at game design. It's one of the best game packs hands down, and it introduced skill…
The fact that they're autonomously doing anything means they're becoming sentient. This ends badly for us, pretty soon the sims wont need us. We should send plagues.
It would be a good idea for Maxis and EA to do something like this for players. Some users aren't as adept at using the file system to backup files, and it would be super helpful if they made either an automatic local backup feature, optional cloud backup feature, or even just a button within the game to press to backup a…
I like them. The reason their notifications come up is to promote other users work. It's the sims 4 version of featured work. It launches otherwise unknown players into the spotlight. Without those notifications it'd be very hard to find the best work from the community. Getting rid of them would take an integral part of…
Story telling used to be the only thing I did. You basically just come up with a plot, like rags to riches, starting a dynasty, a family drama, etc. You follow that plot and take all of your sims ups and downs with it. It gets you more involved in the game play. You might take screenshots along the way and write a little…
My sims are like me, they don't have a schedule at all. So, when grinding skills, they just grind until they either burnout or max out. They have meals sporadically, and sometimes they only get an hour of sleep before work, if they even have a regular job. I play the game more like an RPG than a life simulation. LOL!
I don't have any Simming goals besides trying to have fun with it. I have another thing I'm also preoccupied with: trying to educate myself to draw well. It's a subscription service, and I'm not getting enough of that done as it is because I'm playing the sims. But, I'll just try to have fun with the Sims and try to set…
I wasn't thinking superheroes/villains when I first made this thread, but yeah now that you mention it that would be really cool. By criminals I was thinking more like pulling off heists, stealing purses, knocking sims out, or forming gangs/mafias (like clubs but for baddies.) And an easier time of pulling off enemies with…
I liked (Edit: Vintage Glamour), because it gave me a butler, and I'm always using one if I have a rich sim. Plus the furniture is good, so it's definitely underrated. My second underrated pack is probably spa day since the wellness skill will let your sims teleport, (even though there are lots of teleport options in the…
I too have to find a way to make things interesting for a full legacy. Usually though I just play as many generations as possible in different houses. I never really build the mansion over 10 generations. I've never really finished one.
I found out about this when a sims husband moved in and had random musical talents. I think Maxis is doing this because when sims autonomously play instruments it can get annoying if they're not skilled at it. It could also be the mccc mod, since I had that installed too at the time of this happening.
Vampire sims have a great ability to alter someone's mood to the extreme, and it kills so many sims. It's the only way I've found for one sim to kill another without mods, and I love it.
I just played in San Myshuno. I think it's a great starting point, especially for college students who don't want to live on campus. The gremlins in one of the apartments nearly drove my sim insane. Also, if you have a rich single sim the ritzy apartments are incredible, and they have great views too.
