I'm excited for the EP because of the Mermaids. I'm a huge Occult player. Hotels/resorts or not, I don't care. 12 or 14 lots, I don't care. Windenburg and Newcrest give me all the lots I'm ever gonna Need. While I'm even more excited for Realm of Magic, I'm also worried they mess it up. Vampires was Awesome, and it will…
The Devs said that GPs are about taking one theme and exploring it in depth. With what we know so far, it could very well be a Pack with a small world heavily inspired by the magic town in Makin Magic, A Witch occult and a bunch of Spells, alchemy, and Objects like crystal balls and so on. I really hope for no alignment…
I actually like the idea of a forest or castle based world or a combination of the two. Maybe with an ancient stone circle like Stonehenge that would offer an opportunity for even stronger magic if spells are cast there. It would really add to the mystical atmosphere. Maybe it's just because I never played Sims 1 but…
I agree a new world should be visually different from any previous world in the same game. However, there's a lot of visual styles other than carnival or circus that fits Witches or Magic just as well, if not better. A swamp, for example. They could draw inspiration from Diagon Alley or Hogwarts, or just go with a medieval…
The Crystals are in the base game and I use them a lot. I agree with some objects, disagree with others. I can absolutely imagine the Carts and Caravans fitting in a Realm of Magic. But with the rollercoasters and that stage, this should better be saved for a carnival GP IMO.
About Dragons, I'd like them to return, but Witches have priority for me. Seeing that they'll probably add a world, Magic Spells and possibly several Skills, Dragons would perhaps be a bit much. But if they can make them fit and still have awesome witches, I'd like if a Dragon wouldn't remain a Baby forever, but actually…
Fairies never had anything to them, other than their looks, that I couldn't justify giving to Witches instead. And the look you can already somewhat get if you use spooky stuff. The very same pack that has the witch hat.
Witches. All the others are nice to have, but can live without. I'll be a bit sad once it's official that we don't get Werewolves, but if I have to choose between Witches and Werewolves, I'd choose Witches any day.
While I hope Witches are an Occult, I hope Alignments don't return. I've explained in great length in other threads why I think an Alignment system would be a bad idea. The short version is that it'd limit gameplay and storytelling. With an Alignment system that forces you to be either good or evil and won't allow you to…
I was responding to a comment I interpreted meaning (Perhaps because of my bad English) that the Devs should cater to player requests and player requests only. And while I feel that some groups within the player community, me included, were on the short end so far, so far only having one or two packs dedicated to our…
They have Ideas of themselves and want to try them out. I don't say you are wrong and they shouldn't do any packs that are popular requests. I absolutely think they should. But if they can't bring their own ideas and have to just follow the popular demands, there's very little room for creativity, which might be a major…
Does he live in a rural or urban area? Because from my observation, kids from the countryside or smaller towns tend to be better informed about such things than kids in big cities. But that is a more an "In general" type of guess. I never said, "No 12 year old in the world knows where meat comes from anymore, they don't…
No game is 100% bug-free. No Game ever was. There are just some games that have very few bugs that are also very unnoticeable, like ambient sound playing 3 seconds too late or something. But the coding language to create a game that is 100% proven bug-free has yet to be invented.
They can't put all of that into one EP. There is only so much they can add in each pack. There are reasons the packs are the size they are. 4 fully fleshed out Occults, just like Vampires in the Vampires GP, are wishful thinking at this point. But one can dream, right?
Witches won over Werewolves in the first round and then over Mermaids in the third. Mermaids made second place. Werewolves made second to last place, I think. Being sandwiched between Zombies and Robots. Here on the Forums, Werewolves popularity is on par with Witches. But the twitter poll has had a much larger sample size…
Because if a pack is released in April or May, that would still have 32bit support, since they haven't removed it yet, so they would have to put it in the legacy edition, which they won't, as they already said. We can maybe expect free content patches or challenges, but I don't think we get paid content drops in the next 2…
I heard or read somewhere that Sims 1 was originally intended as a design tool for architects, helping them plan a layout and come up with designs. Live mode with the Sims themselves was added to test if a design was functional. It turned out to be so much fun, the Sim City devs caught interest, took over, tweaked and…
If you are referring to me, you misunderstood. I never said that we've gotten only unrealistic up until now. Quite the opposite, in fact. We got almost nothing unrealistic until now. Yes, some aspects of the packs aren't exactly imitations of real life, and there are unrealistic aspects in all of those packs, but overall,…
Yes, Its basic knowledge. That's why it's so sad. And one would think that everyone should know, given available tools, but I met 16-year-olds who seriously believed cotton was made in a chemistry factory and were creeped out when I told them that there are cotton farms in India. I met 12-year-olds who seriously believed…
