  • I am neutral in this case. I don't find it offensive, although it is silly. I suppose if you don't like it, you could switch the trait for something else. The sims is a game and it is ideal to introduce some 'challenges'. Although on the other hand, allergies/intolerances do share similarities with disabilities and the…
  • @Lucy_Henley I agree with this. There are some very creative people on here, but I am a simple guy and I find many of the CC hairstyles to be too much! I have always believed that the sims should include more hairstyles that the everyday person would have.
  • The sims 4 is strongly a sandbox game, although it does have a weak life simulation. I believe the game is lacking the structure seen in previous titles. I believe the series is best when balanced; that is what made the series successful. Sims 4 went too easy, whereas sims 2 and 3 (cannot speak for sims 1, never played)…
  • I tend to play in cycles. I may rotate between Sims 2, 3, and 4. I stick with one of them (on occasion two) until I become tired of it. I may play games that are outside of the series such as Cities Skylines and Rollercoaster Tycoon. Sims 3 has a special charm to it that always makes me want to come back. I'm currently…
  • Never. Mine are all store bought. Never have I ever seen a moose.
  • I had to look this one up. I'll go with yum! Steak and cheese subs?
  • @izecson I never understood the dissatisfaction with the character style in Sims 3. I think it is ok. Sure, some features can be a bit off such as hairstyles and facial hair.
  • Paper
  • Never Never have I ever placed a tile floor.
  • @IreneSwift I don't have that problem unless there are unusual circumstances, such as a guest sleeping over or the assigned bed has someone else in it, so he goes to another.
  • @AnisEB97 That is cool! There is a good amount going on behind the scenes. Even in a rabbithole. That makes me think of those notifications you get in the business career when a sim trips and falls into the mail cart and you get the embarrassed moodlet. That ought to cause the fiendishly delighted moodlet.
  • I went a good 10 years before discovering this one! A sim with the neurotic trait can freak out and it will restore your fun meter from drained to halfway. That is the silver lining to having the neurotic trait. I always knew about freak out, but I didn't know the part about restoring the fun meter.
  • I see where you're coming from, but my concern is that if a multiplayer is implemented, the devs will be so focused on multiplayer functionality, that we will lose functionality in the main game. Once it becomes an online game, that is the direction the game will go in. And it will take a lot of work to maintain it. Maybe…
  • MAKE* Open World * World/Town Editor (like TS2 and 3) * Strong traits (like in Sims 3) * Cars and streets * Build/buy with freedom similar to TS2/3 * A real map (not the illusion map that we get in TS4) * Hopping between worlds to visit (able to visit any world without moving houses) * Sass and liveliness as seen in sims 2…
  • Rock.
  • Never. Never have I ever enjoyed caramel.
  • I started in 2011. I was in middle school then and I already had My Sims on the Wii. It was a good game, but I wanted more. So I somehow came across The Sims 3 on youtube and I was instantly hooked! I bought the game and then I ran out of sim money on my first house. I had a lot of ugly carpeting, unpainted walls, and…
  • I had a similar situation to the original post. 2 months ago I was using a sink at home and I could tell the faucet cartridge was about to go. All of a sudden with the faucet in the off position, water started coming from the faucet and down the drain. (Play the broken object music). I had to shut off the sink from…
  • I was feeling nostalgic and decided to bring out my old sim family from when I started playing in 2011. It is my real life family from 10 years ago. I was still a young teenager and my brothers were children. It's funny how we have come such a long way from this point. I did some funny things back then such as giving my…
  • I fully support TS1 & 2 being added to the origin store. I have always wanted to play TS1. Those are great games; don't let them fizzle out! anthonydyer
  • 84F (29C) and cloudy with occasional rain in Florida. Send me some of that heat and sunshine. I enjoy the hot weather.
  • I love building. Being an architect is my second choice for a career, although I haven't yet pursued it. I am talented in designing the layouts of homes and I enjoy to go big on it! It can be a little difficult to begin building, but once I am satisfied with the basics, the rest comes naturally. I am not much of an…
  • @ncisGibbs02 I am in a similar situation. I recently moved to a new state and in the process my family toured some houses for us to buy. In the process, I became very inspired with the differing styles of home construction. I even saw a new-build which I went crazy over.
  • I pick Late Night. I belive this EP provided the most expansion. I remember my younger self went crazy over the tall buildings (Ironically, now I don't like cities). I remember trying to get in to all those night clubs, but the bouncers wouldn't let me in. I remember Matthew Hamming got my sim kicked out of a club, so I…
  • Yes. I remember my first time. The game gives a vague warning about the sky becoming dark and I have seen some odd things from the game so I thought 'whatever'. I didn't understand the danger, so I failed to move my sim in time and he got hit. I quit without saving and went back. It is a pain in the butt because a few…
  • @HillyBeth I remember a few years ago my graphics card suddenly went, but I found that I could remove the graphics card and I was able to play The Sims without it. The CPU can provide basic function. It may be a good idea to play on lower graphics settings. You may need to plug your monitor into a non-graphics card port.
  • My favorite method of creating a (in my view, a real) basement is to use the foundation tool and hollow out the inside area. My method even allows you to add in a walk-out door or full sized windows and doesn't require going overboard with cheats or complicated procedures. Let me elaborate. * If your lot slopes, you will…
  • My favorite is Sunset Valley. I used to think of it as that base world, but I later realized that it has a lot to offer. Great sense of community, great layout, and I like the theme. It appears to have some subtropical theme, which I do like. I think it can feel like home to a lot of us.
  • I may be around 10 minutes, but when I am creating a family of 5 it is 10 x 5 = 50 minutes in CAS. Then I may or may not have to go back and modify something.
  • @Cinebar I don't know if you recall, but Sims 2 has a similar feature in which you can place individual couch pieces together to make a long couch. I always had fun with it. I don't know if it allows you to make corners with it.
