I mostly use The Sims Resource stuff. There's not a ton for the era, but I've found enough to get by. :smile: Finding stuff for the kids was even harder, so I just played through. Also: I'm playing first three Gen's on Short lifespan bc it seems more fitting. Then four Gen's for Med, etc.

Update: After posting this comment the *same* parent/toddler seem to be getting along just fine without even exiting the game. o.o Gotta love The Sims. :D

Oh. I'm doing alright (so far) without nanny's, butler's, or help from anyone else. ProTip: Put them on the potty and then click off and walk away to train another. They'll stay there (and get attention if you're in the room!) until they're doing 'going'

And now it seems that Toddlers came out while I was sleeping, and so now I have to attempt this Challenge with a Teen/Toddler combination bc the idea is too cute to pass up. ~.~ Thankfully I have the first part of the 'P.O.R-S.' Challenge written up so I can test out the method of it. Woohoo!

I think you *can* do this, actually. So long as you do an open market and make sure to have at least one cash register, and list it as retail (also make sure to 'own' it at least once to price everything) and it should work however you like, with whatever items you choose. It just won't ever go away and change itself up…

Hahahaha! After Elyptica finally saved up about 3000 simoleons, she rented her first apartment and then went to the store to get some furniture. By the time she came home, I realized she forgot the stone AND toilet in lieu of a radio and tv plus single stand for both. I'm such a random, "oh shiney" shopper.

BTW: Elyptica recently 'faked' her way into the bar and is trying out the Bubble Blower for the first time. She noticed it and decided 'why not' but she went there because she wanted to Dance and her fun was dangerously low. The Clay just wasn't doing it for her anymore.

After the initial two weeks things seem to be going about as smoothly as the first play-through. I haven't even used the homeless shelter once! Also: Working on a set of 'rules' or guidelines that is a bit more concise and followable for anyone who might want to try this. It's been super, super fun both times.

Other little type things I'm doing are things like... No make-up until she purchases the little nail kit decoration from one of the shops. No other outfits until she buys them from the stores. (Though one outfit counts for a 'new' PJ/Swimwear combo or it's just too bloody expensive!) etc, etc, etc.
