If you want to understand why so much has changed between 3 and 4, you need to understand programming and how difficult is to apply a whole list of options (eg. 14 years worth of building elements and sims interactions) to a completely new engine in such a short amount of time. I'm glad to some of the changes because even…
This reminds me of the asymmetry debate in Spore until they added the option in a patch. I'm not sure how complex the coding of CAS is, but with the pull-n-drag mechanics (similar to the CC in Spore), it should be feasible to apply it to one side only... and for the nose you could angle it to one side.
I guess waiting was worth it. Updated the base game and checked to see if it works - love the basement tool! I haven't experienced any crashes, in fact the game runs faster I believe but I may haven't been playing for a while. Also, what are the roof decorations about? I don't seem to have any. Am I missing something?…
Mann, das sind ja wahnsinns Baute! Ich muen mer die alli schpöter namal genauer aluege. :) (Man, those are great buildings! I'll have to take a closer look at a later time. :)) P.S.: Can you do Rutschmaluus at Tatschmapuul?
I just downloaded and installed the patch and everything looks and feels like the PC version proper. I have some trouble with the edge smoothing but everything is set to high and there is only a slight lag... considering I have some other programs running.
I assume the patch is being modified for Cider. They've been doing the same for Spore with the latest patch and it's been a week due to the PC version causing some issues. Let's hope this is not quite the case here...
The game runs perfectly fine on my 2007 aluminum iMac on high settings (except the neighboring lot detail and draw distance). I had some trouble starting the game after the initial install as it couldn't authenticate my download version but an update of Airport seemed to have fixed the in-bound connection. The only time…
I agree with everything you listed and then some: 6. I'd love if you could connect diagonally placed kitchen counters with straight ones to create more dynamic kitchen layouts. 7. The ability to place walls "off-grid" just like you can do with furniture. This would especially help creating larger bay windows by reducing…
Speed 3 and 4 aren't working properly for everyone, thus they are redundant somehow unless they fix it in the next patches. Also, in-game speed does not equal overall PC speed, cleaning your PC only speeds up the process of your system accessing the files necessary for your programs.
Try cleaning up your PC; the registry might be all clogged up and the harddrive fragmented. Download and install Windows AdvancedCare for free to solve these problems in one process.
Actually, the cheats work perfectly fine. I do believe that enablellama is just an inside-joke we haven't been let in and that shazaam is a red herring since there isn't a command attached to it. You can always get a list of all available cheats in-game by typing in help in the console.
The Sims 3: Home Office Your sims can now take their work home! Set up a home office complete with a Rolodex or filing cabinet to keep track of your clientele. Similar to OFB, you'll be able to sell everything off your back in your own home, but you can also make house calls and hire a part-time assistant to help you with…
Actually, the Airport update fixed it for me. I've had the same error message having the download version. Before, I had to use a work-around to get the game skip the authentication somehow and start up properly: The Sims 3 > Contents > MacOS > cider You basically launch the game directly with cider, and if that's…
Maybe heights could work if there were several preset heights to choose from - each with their own set of "hands on" animations corresponding to sims of different heights. I mean, we already have teenagers and children, which really are a shorter version of the adult sim.
I'd recommend to focus on your sim's skills he or she needs to get a promotion and as soon as you can afford it, become a partner of any of the local businesses, which draws in some extra cash every week. It's even easier if you have an ambitious sim in the household as they tend to get promotions faster than others,…
I'd like to see some weather conditions as well. Pets would be nice as the sims could walk their dogs and run into others or you could have the neighbors' cats throwing a concert in your backyard. But I'd really like to see a Home Office EP where your sims can take their work home and build up a closer relationship with…
