Don't take it so seriously. None of those stats on any of the games mean anything, it's just random trivia. Good to see PvZ: Garden Warfare getting some love (that's a lot of hours played over a weekend. Probably helped that it was free for the PS4 though. XD), even though I'll never play it. I love the franchise and it…
They did, it was called Dawngate. It was a F2P MOBA, like League of Legends. After it was in open beta for a while, they scrapped it. Said it wasn't shaping up the way they wanted.
Consoles have always been weaker than PC so that particular problem has always been there. That's more Ubisoft than EA. They are much more shameless about wanting your money. Their microtransactions for The Crew, for example, are in the in-game stores. It actually says 'Choose currency for payment', by which they mean…
Except EA has been releasing multi-platform games from the very beginning. Look at the first game they published, Archon in 1983, it was released for the Amiga, DOS, Apple II, NES etc. They have never been a PC only company.
I agree there is strong evidence to support this as the first EP and I want this to be the first EP. I just don't want to get my hopes up only to see them announce something completely different. XD Not very likely given the track record of the devs, but you never know.
I'm glad you changed the the title of the thread to be more clear. Until it's officially confirmed by EA, I wouldn't assume anything. Those files in the game might be prepping it for the first EP, or they might not be. All games have leftover code, that doesn't confirm anything other than it's something they've thought…
No, they didn't. They closed down one of their studios (the one in Salt Lake, which had only made a couple EPs for TS3 and some mobile games) and consolidated the sims staff into one building.
I enjoy it too. I don't buy what I don't think I'll like anyway...and because of that, I've never regretted buying a game. Do your research before you buy. Always.
@Anavastia In the first article you linked to, Peter Moore was talking about mobile vs dedicated handhelds, not mobile vs PC/console. The name of the article is "EA Explains Its Shift From Handheld to Mobile". "We were supportive of both of those platforms (3DS/Vita), but then you've got finite resources and you've got…
If it's broken on their end, it's broken on yours. The coding is the same. It's just you didn't do the things that trigger the glitch. Not all glitches are easy to find, sometimes you have to do things in a certain order to run into them. Since everyone plays the game a little differently, there are some you'll never see…
On a scale from 1 to 10? 6.5 or 7, I suppose. It runs much better than TS3 did and is quite a bit more stable (I love TS3, but lets be real, TS3 had stability issues no matter what you ran it on). I've had no crashes and I've played for 109 hours (according to Origin). Small bugs, yes, but nothing game breaking or anything…
With the sims? Nope. If EA decides they won't make another, that's it. They won't sell it, EA as a company would have to fall apart first (which doesn't seem likely at the moment). Another company making something similar? There isn't anything stopping them now and no one is doing it. Just doesn't seem likely. It's too…
TS4 isn't the only game on Game Time. Titanfall, Battlefield 4 and Kingdoms of Amalur (which I have and should get around to playing...) are as well. None of those games were considered bad.
Their previous CEO, John Riccitiello, was saying that (every game should be online, that's where they were taking all their games), but I haven't heard anything about it specifically from EA since he left. That's probably why SimCity 5 and TS4 were originally multiplayer games that were changed to single-player later. They…
I want that in TS4! Please? I have some games on my phone, but most are free (not F2P/P2W like FreePlay, just free) and the ones that are paid I got from a Humble Bundle. I hate the F2P model in general, very few games do it right. Path of Exile is the only one I can think of right off hand that does. But that's a PC game,…
Nah, you aren't. Like what you like. I've seen it on disappointment lists, but not a worse of. That would be odd because there were so many games that came out this year that were objectively worse.
IDK, the first one looks more distorted. Maybe it is because it's running. Well, I couldn't find a chipmunk...but I saw another animal and it's more or less the same. Eagle, on the highest settings: I thought at first the texture just hadn't loaded yet, but nothing happened when I waited a bit so...I think that's it.…
Those look a lot better than that first picture showed...I should go in game and try to find one. See what they look like for myself. I'll take a picture and post it when I do.
Do games need to be in first person to use the Rift? And exactly, it would be weird. But that's also why it would be interesting. XD Personally, I think TressFX looks a little weird. At least there it does. The standard hair is actually more in line with what I would expect the hair of someone who is covered in blood,…
Maybe it will be old enough by then that it will. XD I kinda wonder, if the Oculus Rift does take off, would TS5 use that? Can you imagine playing a sims game with a Rift? o.O
What the...I have no words. There are no words for that. Well, other than "unacceptable". Thanks for showing me Crunchie. :) Jeez, look at everything around it, there is no reason for it to look that bad. What happ...ugh.
