I agree that I do believe it is Sims 5. EA isn't confident it will take off like they thought it would when they started making the game with no competition. Now that Life by You and Paralives are a thing, both with growing potential fan based, they are keeping Sims 4 afloat as a life raft in case they need it to scramble…
I don't see where everyone is getting that weather will be a base game feature. Lyndsay clearly says that weather being in the base game is a theoretical example. Basic weather is probably gonna be behind a paywall with another paywall behind it that leads to the microtransaction hellscap3 that is detailed gameplay.
To be fair, Sims 4 sucks in comparison to Sims 2 and Sims 3. Sims 3 lacked the detail of Sims 2 like opening cupboards to cook and having kids slide down the railings of spiral staircases, but it also added an open world that was revolutionary at the time and the color wheel. Sims 4 in comparison only took steps back with…
Sounds like Second Life. You have to have a monthly subscription to build or place a home on a small lot, or you have to pay X lindens per month to rent a home in the game and both options cost real money. Who would've thought the Sims may go the way of Second Life 🙃

The lot editor looks great! Also I'm happy you can edit the lot size in the fly, even after you build on them. Sometimes when I'm building I want to add things on later for a building, but can't because the rigid lot size limits me to having to either rebuild it from scratch on a new, bigger lot or save it to the…
I was wondering where the rabbit hole comment came from as well. I haven't seen any rabbit holes.
You haven't been paying attention if you haven't seen any rabbitholes. Apart from the grocery store, none of the community lots they have shown so far have any service NPC nor other customers.
Do you know what…
Yeah it feels a bit overwhelming but in a good way. Instead of having to wait on modders or the game devs to change or create something, it looks like players will be able to do so easily.
Unpopular opinion, but I'm still not convinced this game wont be even more restrictive than the Sims 4 in terms of creativity. I forsee almost everything being behind a paywall, including CC with EA acting like some kind of virtual mobster that makes CC creators upload items to their online store while forcing them to give…
The mobile aspect forces the game to be downgraded across all other platforms and/or you cannot build outside their predetermined shells that they keep showcasing.
When my sister initially told me about the pack, I wasn't going to get it. After the MWS fiasco, I swore off EA. But then I wanted to learn more about the new infant update, so I watched the livestream on Friday. As soon as the livestream ended and I was able to pick my jaw of the floor, I pre-ordered the pack.
I pre-ordered after watching this stream. Went from being completely pessimistic to extremely excited. There was so much info though that I feel like I need to rewatch the stream.
PSA: DO NOT GET MARRIED ON A BEACH! My sims just got married on the beach and although the wedding was relatively smooth, all the guests ended up going for a dip somewhere between the ceremony and the cake cutting. So I ended up with this. :D
I'm playing a retro save, so buying a wedding cake off a phone app wasn't an option for me. Also, it breaks my game immersion. So I made 8 townies, cheated them all to max out their cooking skills, gave them the fresh chef trait, and got to work building a bakery that specializes in wedding cakes with no cakes that never…
I bought it and it's not so bad with mods. I really like the ability to edit weddings and other events up until the moment they happen. I also like the build/buy items, especially the new tea sets. Now if I were playing a vanilla game I would hate this pac cause it has allot of bugs. However, as someone who can't play any…
Same here! I just gave up and renovated my sims' current house instead. The kitchen was on the opposite side of the house from the dining room which made routing for meals a nightmare.
Thanks for your reply. The real estate mod by simrealist was the culprit for that issue. Although now my sim can't ask anyone to be a sim of honor or officiant, and I haven't figured that out yet.
I got Carl's Sims Guide's My Wedding Stories mod and everything is running smooth so far. Granted my sims have only had an engagement party where the only thing on their list of things to do was eat dessert and dance.
