I use NRaas Saver because I have a tendency to forget to save & it prompts every 1/2 hour, so I don't ever have to worry about my Simmies spending all day playing computer games or trying to eat Cowplant cake if I have to leave my game.

Just a thought, don't know how well it'll work, but you could also try Ctrl+Shift+C > resetsimcharlottedubois > Enter Edit: Oopsie, it shouldn't all be one word (it's been a while) - resetsim charlotte dubois is the command.

As long as it's on the household lot, all you have to do is decorate it as you please. I don't know if "Assign" is a Uni-only interaction on beds, but if it's not, you might want to assign the bed in the garage to the teenager so he/she doesn't automatically go to someone else's bed to sleep.

I have yet to have a Toad Sim. I've gotten a mummy from a rebuilt sarcophagus once & let a member of the family zombify a mean relative, but I cured/got rid of 'em pretty quickly because they were so boring. I've been worried Toad Sims would be the same...

The only place I've ever been able to find it is from the machine at the shops in Uni towns. Edit: Which, upon further reading, is not the only place! Yay!

They are more work than I personally enjoy (like my real pets), but have some very sweet moments and cute interactions that make up for all of the extra work (like my real pets). I often look forward to Sims' deaths (I get bored with Elders), but I always get upset when the pets die.

I'd try moving the household to the clipboard & moving them back in again. This has been known to help with lots of Sim-related glitches that resetsim doesn't help.

I've always loved how my TS3 Simmies look. I see people's posts of their CC-laden Sims & think they're the ugly ones, all plastic & shiny. I guess it's all a matter of what we like to look at. :) I'm pretty sure we can find common ground in that TS2 Simmies really are ugly. o:)

From my most recent experience, it depends on (a) if they arrived together or separately &/or (b) when each Sim graduated. I had one Sim go to Uni, then brought in her boyfriend as per her wish. She finished her final first, so her 72-hour countdown began, then his several Sim-hours later. I needed to hurry to get them…

It really depends on the Sim, but I often get Collection Helper for various opportunities and careers. Long-Distance Friend is also common because my Simmies usually wind up as antisocial as myself. Just a heads-up which may have been a contributing factor: from what I've read elsewhere, TS3 runs through IE even if it's not your primary browser. I've read that sometimes clearing your IE cache, etc. might help with connection issues. Hope that helps if, goodness forbid, the problem repeats itself.

I had a really hard time with the written instructions way back when I finally decided to mod, so I searched YouTube for a step by step tutorial for initial installation, which I did at the same time that I watched. Made it verrrrry easy for me! I think this is the one I followed. Good luck!

Without any that end with .sims3 or .backup, I honestly don't think there's a restorable save, I'm afraid. Sometimes her corruption extends to not being able to dismiss her to her coffin (& the Sim trying to do so getting stuck & needing resetting), which needs to be the case so you can delete it, otherwise it's "in use"... That's the reason I've stopped using her. Which bums me out, she can be pretty fun.

Most holidays haven't been working right in my game for a while, so my Simmies usually just decorate for fall with lots of Spooky Day & Feast Day decorations & lights & carve pumpkins...which usually get smashed within 24 Simhours.

I used to, but I play to escape from people, so I think it's a lot more fun to make up Sims to live out lives of happiness or misery, depending on how much I like 'em or their randomized traits dictate.
