@alanmichael1 @PHOEBESMOM601 There is a work-around for this. TS3 does not like all the cores, so these are the steps to follow: - Open TS3 Launcher; Do Not Press Play - Open Task Manager (right click on Task Bar OR ctrl-alt/delete to open - Click "Details" - TS3 Launcher will be near the top of the list - Right-click on…
I could definitely relate to your post @SaharaCat. I have experienced most of the same glitches you have. Also: - Why are some things so often overdone? (I'm looking at you, whiny pets.) In this EP, it's the hairy chests and legs. They are 'way too exaggerated and there is only one choice. Couldn't we have one where the…
Exactly. There are so many things like this in the game. Even when I'd like my Sims to do 'fun' activities, they take so long that it messes up the overall timing. Doing 1/4 of a 'fun' activity per day seems rather spare.
If you have Cottage Living EP, your Werewolf Sims can buy red meat there. They can also buy white meat and there are always 8 fish to be purchased each day (2 of 4 different fish types).
I like the improvements as they stand. However, I was also hoping to see a resurgence in martial arts with this pack. Martial arts fit perfectly with the Wellness concept and can be taught (and practised) from childhood through elders.
I haven't sent a Sim to the fairs without an entry so this is just a guess: I think the Sim probably can taste the food entries - but - in tasting them, the entry would disappear from the competition. The grocery store and the garden store (both sell jams) are right next to the fairground, and on Fair days that my Sims…
Kind of like the lottery day that shows up on the calendar. Ever since it first appeared (maybe a couple of years ago?) every eligible Sim in the families I have played when the lottery came along has bought tickets. Not one of them has won. :(
My Sims have made fizzy drinks from all of the new berries in HoB - the only thing is, the fizzy drinks can't be sold in either of the town stores. I haven't tried Plopsy yet; maybe tomorrow.
I guess I should have realized this when The Sims 4 was released half-baked. Even now, I end up playing many objectives (Uni, I'm looking at you) and doing Sudoku puzzles while my poor Sims grind away. This used to be an open sandbox style of play - with tons of selections and gameplay options for everything. It meant…
"Laura Miele: Yes, a lot of fertile ground for The Sims for sure and the idea that we will build on the tools for people to play with life (thats our brand) and the idea for people to be able to play with life together. We had The Sims Online that came out in 2002 which was around 20 years ago. We certainly were ahead of…
Same for me. Edited to add: Another Break for me would be no colour wheel and/or ways to customize the patterns of our walls, floors, furnishings, and clothing in game like we had in TS-3. Yes, I know a few players had problems with CAStyle; however, more did not. Also, that was more than a decade ago and with the new…
I should have been clearer. If they attempt to do 2 modes of the game (offline and online) it will cost more than EA executives are willing to spend. Therefore, both modes will suffer from constricted development and players will have two options of inferior gameplay. For examples, we can refer to Sim City 2013 - and the…
The problem, as always with EA executive decisions and actual development: the purse strings are far too tight to do both offline and online effectively (i.e., engaging and immersive for the players). Quality in both modes will be sacrificed - as witnessed by the Sim City 2013 saga. EA will simply not be willing to expend…
Why not have both multi-player and single player versions of TS5? Answer: they are having a hard enough time keeping the single player version true to the over-arching The Sims vision. If they try to split TS5 into two versions, neither one will benefit or be fun to play, IMHO.
Suggested fix: Snowboards, skis, and the various potions for hiking trips - all need to be activated for placement in the storage bins/boxes we have in the game. Inventory gets too cluttered with STUFF and these items could instead be stored in a labelled box and then placed in personal inventory before going on a Snowy…
Ever since the last patch, the emotions have definitely been more balanced, and traits have a stronger "push", too. I do not have any emotion-related mods so my guess is that this upsurge in negative emotions and trait-based behaviours had to have been tweaked in the Nov 13th patch.
@GalacticGal - Yes, toddlers can definitely vaction, too! In fact, they can get some great Sentiments from going on vacation with their caregiver(s). Just remember, though, Build/Buy is not accessible from vacation lots and the rentals don't seem to have toddler beds or potties. I finally remembered that I only needed to…
I had no issues at all after the patch. Everything worked great in the game and I was playing a lot because of the new features added. After installing Snowy Escape, everything was fine, too, until my Sim was at the Snow Festival up on the mountain and the fireworks went off. At the same instant, I used my mouse to move my…
I even tried making child-bed double platforms for improvised bunk beds. It didn't work. I could place a bed on the bottom level but couldn't join the platform columns along the top for the second level. It would have been so great if this had worked since we now have ladders.
I have noticed a few discrepancies with the swatches for windows and doors, too. By the way - I love what you did with these windows here - bright and classy-looking!
I'm glad you put this "out there". I have run into the same problem. I am building a house with a few different levels, and it is SO tricky. I finally skipped the roof thing altogether - I will fix it at the end. I also discovered that if I wanted to have decorative platforms on top of a regular platform, I had to draw…
Yes, I have definitely noticed some improved focus - skin tones, sliders, and the platforms that came with the new patch are all great. The verdict is still out for me with Snowy Escape as I don't have it yet. I was disappointed with the position they took to disallow signs of worship - such an integral part of the culture…
My "decade of choice" would be the 1920's. From all I have read, it was a decade of innovative cultural explorations (art, writing, music), and I love the vintage fashions from that decade, too - for both men and women. I love the hats they wore (men and women) and the lifestyles many people lived. This was a time "between…
I adore TS2 for the many detailed interactions between Sims (far more than TS4 and somewhat more than TS3). However, what intrigued me about TS3 initially was the ability to customize everything. I can make houses that look like dilapidated shacks - and - I can build ultra-luxurious homes as well as everything in between.…
