The paradox game is a game called Life by You. https://insider-gaming.com/paradox-interactive-to-announce-cities-skylines-2-life-by-you-and-the-lamplighters-league/
The Sims 4 is limited the way it is because of being built on an engine that was originally for an online Sims game. If Sims 5 was online the off line experience would likely be limited. I don’t have a lot of faith that the offline experience would resemble the previous sims games in terms of play and depth. I may change…
The sims 5 is coming at some point, even if sims 4 players want 4 to last forever. There is nothing wrong with folks speculating about Sims 5. Especially as there are two potential competitors in the works. If the moderators and EA had a problem with sims 5 threads they would be moved to off topic or find a reason to close…
They need to look at what made 1, 2, and 3 great games. Keep the main sims 5 offline, single player. Have a separate online game for those that want. Bring back things like open world, Cast, the option for story progression. Design the game for the intended audience and not children like the sims 4 is designed for. No more…
Why would open world and good graphics not work? Plenty of games do that. Sims 3, just needed better optimization. My self and many others can run it just fine with no problems. If they did that back in 2009 there is no reason it can’t be done in 2020. Just to throw out there Sims 4 was announced in May/ June 2013 and…
I want an open world like Sims 3 though I would settle for an open neighborhood of like 30-40 lots where I could put everything needed to not have to deal with loading screens. I also want an editable world, better babies, all age stages from the start, a banking system and so much more. If I choose to travel through a…
I don’t care to watch the youtubers but these people were also super excited for the first person update so them being excited doesn’t really give me much hope...
I prefer physical. I live in a rural area and have to pay a lot of money for limited lousy internet service because high speed isn't available where I live. Having to download games can be challenging and takes a long time.
Sims 3 is my favorite of the series. I still spend hours and hours playing. While it has it's bugs mods and having a better computer fix that. Sims 4 from what I see has just as many bugs. As for graphics and designs. That is a matter of opinion. I would take the looks of sims 3 any day over the Disney Pixar look of 4.
Prior to Sims 4 they started working on the sequel 2-3 years before release so it really isn't too soon to talk about what we want in Sims 5. If they follow the same 5 years then new series they should be in the early stages of sims 5 or starting soon. If there is one... Lots of good ideas in this thread. I would like to…
But Sims 4 is riddled with bugs and low quality also. We can't even get new features that we had in all previous versions because apparently potential new consumers might get confused. I think people are frustrated and quick to criticize because expansions in the previous versions actually expanded the game and were filled…
Thank you for the help and kind words! The links were very informative. @StarlingGray and @IrelandsAngel I am sorry you guys had to go through have you account hacked.
That's not true though. The sims 3 had Ambitions which was active careers like fire fighter, stylist, private investigator and some others. While the specific careers of active careers are new as playable careers, the concept of playable careers isn't new.
Pixels and coding they are @luthienrising. :) I just think in all of the previous series of the sims franchise, what were the simulated lakes, oceans, rivers, and ponds were made to be those, not just a generic pool tool for players to pretend. It's like the developers don't care anymore and they don't bother even trying…
I haven't purchased anything for the sims 4 since the base game and don't plan to until I feel the family players have gotten some love and some of the major issues are worked out. While the idea of the clubs sound interesting, the EP as a whole seems very lacking compared to sims 3 EPs. Also for some reason when I think…
Why should we say thank you. Maxis and EA are a company that are selling a product. We are consumers who buy their products. Many of us invested in their product with empty promises of things they will be adding to the game and empty promises of a more stable game. Family players have been begging for over a year for…
Considering Ambitions in sims 3 added 5 active careers, self employed careers, a rabbit holecareer, added to previous careers, a whole town - not just a few lots plus many other thing. I think GTW seems kind of weak in comparison. Edit to add: I find it more disappointing GTW isn't adding more traits and aspirations than…
@emorrill, Great chapter! I was happy to see Goodwin respond positively to the news of the baby. Poor Sue, how uncomfortable that situation would be, especially if Goodwin sticks around for the baby.
The last chapter was great as always! I love the new twist you brought in the story. It's nice to see Bailey finely find someone and to be living her life. She always seems so lonely to me. I don't think she is out of her mind. It sad to see Michael's reaction to her, though I understand why he is reacting how he is.
Thanks@emorrill! I also experienced two miscarriages but they were both early pregnancy ones. Unfortunately our only hope involves expensive procedures but we aren't giving up! Congrats on getting your little blessing! The sims have become my biggest escape. I always end up with families with lots of sims children.
I agree I also prefer the time stops completely method. I prefer the open world of sims 3 overall where I can just switch sims easily, but I didn't mind time stopping in completely like in sims 1 and 2. I don't like having to miss out on time with my active sims family. Aside from the missing toddlers and overall lack of…
