That's completely fine! The OG Sims was originally going to be a building simulator, with the sims' only role being to judge the build. The only reason I don't build often is that I am not particularly skilled at building. As long as you have fun that's all that counts, right? :)
No, we cannot pick which songs play in-game or replace the music files. I've been wanting to change the build/buy music ever since Sims 3, when the music took a more generic turn. Stereo music is still great though.
The hamster is the only semi-interesting element of this pack. The furniture is tacky, and the pet clothing is... pet clothing. TS4 Stuff Packs are having an identity crisis. They are the TS4 equivalent of the Sims 3 Store sets, but they are marketed as Stuff Packs and treated as such. I'd prefer they just dump the idea of…
Group study is really neat, as well as writing term papers. If you earn enough money you can put some ridiculous things in your dorm room. I've always enjoyed levelling up in the Natural Science career, but of course that comes after Uni
As a fan of The Sims: Castaway Stories and TS3 World Adventures, I was really excited for this pack. As soon as I saw that the jungle exploration consisted of chance card style gameplay I noped out. That's never been my thing and as far as I'm concerned that type of stuff only belongs in a text-based game.
I agree but it would be annoying to unlock milestones you don't want to. I think aspirations need a re-work in general. My biggest gripe about aspirations is the lackluster rewards. The Friend of the World aspiration's reward is a trait that disables relationship decay. That's cool and all, but I already have 20 friends, I…
Not too bothered about my Sim having a vehicle, but having Sims in community lots all arrive by foot is a little... off. It would be neat if they could arrive by car like Drew Carey in Sims House Party
As a fan of all 4 iterations of The Sims, I'd say yes, The Sims 2 is arguably better than The Sims 3. TS2 is stable, full of life, had the deepest Sims of the series, plus the soundtrack was crafted beautifully with a distinct charm. Relationships were fully fledged, memories were accurate and helpful, interests were still…
You're not alone OP. I have yet to build a spa, but I frequently use assets such as the yoga mat and the New Age radio station. Also haven't sent my Sims on vacation, yet I adore the wooden furniture and hiking gear that came with Outdoor Retreat. I figure I'll get around to using those features someday, but if I don't, it…
I haven't used cheats since back in the TS2 days, but I wonder if I could give it a shot. I like @sunblond's idea of creating townies of different skills & wealth to populate the world with!
I think, more than anything, people just wanted 'missing' content from the previous iterations, and wanted it yesterday. I don't think the lack of communication between the developers and the consumer helps either. It was probably more of a 'Oh no, we must get it now or maybe they'll never offer it again!' kind of deal. I…
