Despite this post being years old I decided I would comment anyhow. I also had a similiar issue, I couldn't interact with my IF (Patches) as a toddler. I clicked on the IF using a parent and selected "talk through Patches", the dad then used the doll as a dummy and performed for my toddler. After that I clicked on Patches…
