To give an example, is the way I use to write in Danish very well received in the Danish forum, but here in the English one, if I write in the same way/tone many people think I am impolite, demanding or directly negative.
I completely sympathise with this.
Aussies can be considered rude and obnoxious on the US forum, but on the Australian forum, we could read between the lines, and see the humour.
I think you're probably direct, or 'to the point', maybe even a bit blunt. And that's ok. I think most of the cultures in your region are much the same in that you don't waste time on unnecessary niceties. Americans can think you're being rude, because you're not sugar coating everything, and that's their culture. To many other cultures, US americans seem to be 'fake nice'.
