will this computer run the sims 4 && all packs, possibly cc?
September 2019
@stargczing Yes, it will run all packs and cc just fine on high settings. The graphics card is capable of ultra settings right now (barely) without any custom content, but if you like high poly count cc, basically high-resolution items, you might need to turn down the graphics options a bit.
The other disadvantage of this laptop is that it only has a single 256 GB hard drive. That's enough for Windows plus Sims 4 and all your content, but not a whole lot more. If you're looking to play other games, or store more data (like a music or photo collection), you'd need a second drive, which in this case would need to be an external hard drive or flash drive.
If your limit is $600, there aren't a lot of good options. But this Acer is a bit better. Its processor and graphics card are both stronger, and it's built a to handle moderate games like TS4. It also only has a 256 GB solid state drive though.
If you need more storage and can spend a bit more, this Dell is $684. It has the same processor and graphics card as the Acer, plus a combination 128 GB SSD and 1 TB HDD. You'd need to install TS4 on the HDD, but the game would run the same, and you'd have much more space for other files or games.

Finally, for $701, this Lenovo has a better graphics card and a slightly better processor than the previous two, plus a 512 GB SSD.
