[FIXED] Resume Writing starts over after travelling [ Edited ]

It's pretty annoying, because it takes a long time to finish writing a books.

I would like to create a new thread for it and hope it could be fixed ASAP because it's annoying.

If you save and quit the game play and reload it to play, it would surely happen. Short break might be OK. The writing could be resumed from where it breaks. However, a long break might start over the writing again.

Sims will no longer restart writing a book from the beginning, after you have saved and loaded the lot.

Cannot resume writing a book

situation

. started a book (name: Never eat your pet turtle and other advice for kindergarten) in computer A

. writing progress about half of the circle, interrupted and do other action

. i buy another computer B

. click "resume" in writing option, i see my book name, in computer A

. sims goto computer B and resume the writing

. BUT the progress start from scratch, cannot resume from the half circle progress

. i tried twice and still start from zero

. so i have to choose a fullday uninterrupted, to let the sim fininsh the whole book non-stop

This is another issue I also have. The first book I started to write was very slow at first but then it restarted from the beginning each time I went back to finsih.

I still haven't been able to finish it but I think it started gaining progress finally. Extremely annoying because I have a career goal to write a book but I can't

seem to ever finish it!

I have this issue as well, and I think it is triggered when I play another household and then return to the other one. Going into a different household erases all progress in book writing for the original household. It happens every single time.

I have a Sim who's a scientist, and also he likes to write. Every time he goes to work, when he returns home the last book he has been writing has all the progress erased. Keep in mind if I sent him to work on his own, he would return and the book would still have the progress saved. It's only when the Sim goes to work and I join them at work that the progress is erased.

that is a known bug and has nothing to do with the science career. I've merged with existing thread.

I have found that the book progress resets with any loading screen,  be it changing lots, entering CAS, exiting the game, switching households, or managing the world.

My Sim in the comedy career has to start over composing his comedy routine if I start it at a community lot and then travel home.  The option to resume is there but he has to start all over.
