NEW save game file "40 YEARS LATER" available August 15 2010!
I've been playing ALIENS vs SIMS and I enjoyed it so much that I want to share :-) I will upload a new SAVE FILE during this week, it contains Goodville 40 years (5-6 simweeks) after the aliens crash landed. I chose to mainly play the aliens, and here is my version:
Goodville got back to normal pretty soon, locals unlocked their doors, they got used to see the blue aliens all over town, and although they rarely established strong ties, the locals and the aliens seem to go along well. - The crash landing was an accident, we have no other choice than to make the best out of it, the locals thought.
But - the aliens knew the truth. That they were sent to this place in order to take control over Goodville. Slowly. Their mission is to gradually replace the locals with aliens. Blue skin is the only that matters. The aliens' rule is that each blueskinned redeyed alien must produce minimum 3 blueskinned redeyed babies. This is very important to them, because they were originally only 4 aadult aliens, and they need to spread their DNA to the locals in order to build a population. Will they succeed?
The locals had no choice but accepting that blue aliens walked the streets. Male aliens do hypnotize local females, then they take them to the Theatre. After woohoo'ing the women get released from the trance, and remember nothing.
The aliens have built a couple bases, locals think they just live there, but it's a well organized reproduction system, invented by elderly Tii Qu. At Base Z8 they bring pregnant single women, force them to watch Kidz TV. But the alien DNA doesn't always win. After the birth the local prison is kicked out along with any non-blue babies. Blue babies are nursed at Base Z8. Toddlers with blue skin and red eyes get transported over to Base Qu7, run by one elderly alien. Toddlers with blue skin but no red eyes get placed with alien households.
This is Suz Pi, she had many babies with the right genes, but because her kids will need non-related partners, the DNA is planted into local families. Some times a husband will ask too many questions, while the mum loves her child no matter skin, eyes or hair. Some blame the genetic surprises on the purple slime that covered Goodville on that night 40 years ago.
Step 2 begins soon. When the new genertion aliens grow up, they are set to take control by aiming for top jobs and the better houses on the cost of the locals. Then, if needed, step 3 will be when the locals, if there is any left, are taken as slaves.
Btw, I don't know why most of the aliens got jobs in the criminal track, without my help at all. This far none of them have decent jobs, but it's the aim for a new generation.
Right now I think there must be about 20+ toddlers/kids with some alien DNA spread all over town. The Base Qu7 can only give room to 7 kids (+ the keeper), so I need to send away the oldest kids quite often. The first adult blue skinned offspring has just moved into a regular house, now - he needs either to hypnotize some females, or to find a spouse with good alien genes... hmmm, not many to choose from yet, I think he will take random locals to the theatre building while he waits...
I downloaded the world and it works fine, but I also downloaded the alien families and I can not place them in the world. It keeps saying the household is too large for any of the lots. What am I doing wrong?
Hi, if you download the save game, you won't need those households. They are included :-)
There is a save game from the first day of aliens in town, and there is another version 40 years later, where the aliens have established a bit more. Both include all households etc.
If you still insist on placing one or more of the downloaded lots, you must first delete the current content on that lot, then add it. If I remember correctly ie the Hick's house is already there but without the family, so to add the new house with family, first demolish the existing house, then place the new lot.
Downloaded all for the original scenario, not the 40 yrs later file because I do not have WA. Haven't decided if I'll play Aliens or Sims but I'm setting game for Epic lifespan, and story progression off. Can't wait to see genetics!
I'm populating town with some of my own sims and some extra houses for empty lots, (plus your original 6 families and all of your original lots). I have added 6 families to town.
I have also added some commercial lots such as a reading room, stadium, diner, small community garden. Had to move commercial lots around a bit to accommodate all.
Many creators don't...so right here I'm saying thank you for supporting players to have input of adding some of our own houses, sims and/or even different aliens.
Following your instructs for Hick, Goober, and Pinewood, bulldozed, and moved all in to correct addresses.
Note: The Sim that is already pregnant (Hick family? or Goober family? can't remember) became nude from waist up when I selected she change into Athletic outfit.
No problems until this download but I'll clean out my CC again. Just mentioning it cause don't know if no one else has had this happen.
Anyway I put her in sleepwear for modesty's sake, then locked all doors, checked bosses were generated for all your Sims families and mine. Didn't leave the game to clean CC so her baby was born invisible, haven't had that glitch in awhile and I'll be glad when she ages up.
Bulldozed alien lots 1,2,3 and sequentially moved in Qu, Mi, and Pi families.
My Problem: Still all I see on these lots is the one single floating octagon.
Transported Qu inside anyway. She was so realistically alien I couldn't take it (LOL!) so I changed appearance by changing her hairstyle and was given an option of her having silvery eyes and I chose them for every alien. Don't like red eyes, the remind me of vampires. Don't like vampires!
But with adding single bed, mirror, toilet, shower, fridge, stove, sink, and cabinet there is no room left for secret nursery you mentioned in your thread.
The Pi family has kids, and Mi family is 3AD but all also only have the single Octogan.
Hi MissCee, I enjoyed reading about your setup and experiences. Firstly, I never had a sim nude top, or invicible babies. So I have no idea what caused it. I think the game was created with WA ep installed, not sure if that might cause extra surprises for you. But it sounds like you are doing fine anyway.
About the nursery, do you mean the base I mentionned in the 40 years after version? I realize you can't get those lots from the 40 years save game, so I will upload them to the exchange as empty lots, then you will need to do som local move in-out to make it work. Let me know if this is interesting, it will mean new versions of 2 of the alien landing lots. I'm heading out of town for a week, but I will check back here as soon as I can.
PS: Silvery eyes sounds nice, but if they are CC and you clean CC, will they stay?
For silver eyes all I did was use the game gray lightened as much as possible and still have a bit of color. However its only cosmetic as genetically it didn't transfer, still have red eyed babies by default.
Playing with story progression on, epic life span, high free will. Removed loner trait from aliens.
As they are seeking to genetically dominate Goodeville I've given them an edge by traiting them with either flirty, hopeless romantic, family oriented, etc. and letting the game run as a Randomcy.
Everytime I check in there are more surprises. In my game most of the aliens chose music careers. Only one alien wanted a criminal career and he is now the Emperor of Evil and glows red; what a hoot, blue skin with an intermittent red glow!!!
1st generation is born, some are teens but none old enough to mate yet. Interesting genetics! Only 2 babies so far that Qu would approve of other than those from alien/alien parents.
Alien/townsfolk mix is favoring parents by producing either human eyes, hair, or skin. The blue skin/hair, red eye trait is recessive.
To your base families I have added Black, Asian, and Latino townsfolk. It doesn't seem to affect the genetics. Color of skin tone whether dark brown, cream, or tan still produce some blue skin/red eye/or blue hair kids!
Saw the Facebook blurb on your Aspen world. Looks wonderful! Wish I could play it. I only have base game and won BB in a gifting contest.
I wanted to try a slower paced community but modern cars and taxi's picking up people and running through them destroys the ability to play effectively on any worlds I able to download.
Simmerville, one final question: I've searched, but can no longer find what I thought I saw at one time. Somewhere is there a list to the Worlds for players that only have Base Games?

I know that this is super old, but i am a new player looking for original game only content (i don't have WA, but i do have AMB and LN - it seems like most worlds have all expansions required that were published at release date)
just an fyi - when i downloaded goober family - the game launcher says they have missing ep content (which i assume is WA). The other two families had no errors shown by the launcher.
it is too bad the LN game didn't treat vamps as a "separate" game - like this - instead of having them come into every game you play.
I'm heading out of town for a week, but I will check back here as soon as I can.
whatever happened? did he ever come back?
ps - what is magical about the world file that makes this game work as intended? in other words... is it possible to dump the aliens and families into other worlds?
I am really having some fun with this... a nice small map.
One of bad things i am noticing is that the aliens just stand by their mailboxes and never seem to go inside there domes. Did something go wrong in the implementation and later versions of the game?
The second potentially bad thing is that the Qu alien family only appears to have one member - which might make it difficult if the game was supposed to be 3 alien families vs 3 human families (looking threw the thread it looks like that was on purpose).
This means we lose the Qu last name in future generations. One option is to include an elderly male and one male kid (at least one male to carry on the name - perhaps have him older so he is quicker to move out so that it can remain a nanny household when the elder male dies out?).
Third... the base map is empty of all families, but the downloads come with the house and household (so it doesn't seem to allow us to import the family because the lot their house is already filled).
and fourth... some of the lot sizes are EXTREMELY small (example - apple glenn), i am having a hard time finding stuff to fit in them.
After around 30 days of game time using the save file (which has you play the Hick family), I added some of the twallen mods. Still working fine.
Just now I was using edit world to try and make some different lots so i could add some of the careers from ambitions and bars. In edit mode while i was bulldozing some lots i noticed that there was another lot underneath (if i bulldozed a residential lot there would be a commercial lot underneath it - is that even possible?)
In any case - cool little map and it seems to run pretty decent on my lower end computer.
First of all, that promo picture is epic. XD
I'm having a bit of trouble downloading this town, though. I've downloaded it, yes. But it never shows up in the Sims Launcher or in any of my world folders. I'm not sure if it really downloaded or not since it won't even show up on the game. Is there any way to fix this? I'm really excited to play it. This is really creative and original.
Good question Kimbauer, I'll have to try it sometime soon and see.
The only thing I'm missing now is Supernatural and Seasons, so I can play the challenge exactly as Simmerville intended it played as I have the necessary EP's/SP's.
Hmmmmm, I wonder if Late Night/SN was allowed to run in this scenario what the kids w/alien DNA would look like mixed w/fairy, witch, were, or vampire
I had a lot of fun with this a couple of years ago. BTW in my game the alien's won and dominated Goodeville.

Find the link in the downloads section on the top post of this thread.
When you play it for the first time, don't miss the shortly upcoming birth at Base Z8...
Enjoy!
