I've never had this problem until recently. If I'm working on a sim but they're not ready for play, I save them in the sim bin. However, now many of my sims that I saved are missing from the sim bin.

If they're still saved somewhere, would someone be kind enough to explain where to find them? I don't usually go digging around the game files and I don't want to mess anything important up.
