Hey, I noticed that some stuff is missing the "available in online store" icon. Micro-Grotto hottub, as we already discussed.

Then pretty much the entire Regency Arcade set is ALWAYS in separates for me everytime I enable the online store too, door, window, arch, firepit, human statue, dog statue, plant, the spring rides etc.
    Updated! Thanks Joolster! :)

Edit: Are the casino items still available? And the other basketball PC?

In terms of casino items - I don't know. I personally did not see any with my own eyes, I just saw the numerous posts about them (and the fact they were free) by some people here in the Store section.

Basketball PC - Haven't seen it with my own eyes either, like I said, 99% of the time I check the shop it's ALWAYS Regency stuff for me even though I've had the set for ages. But I do know a person bought it separately.

I am not sure if this info helps anyone but the Store shows that I own the Steampunk Kitchen set when i look in the Set category section , but when i look at all the individual items in this set on the Home decor section pages it shows up that i don't own any of these individual items. I wouldn't want anyone to re-buy the individual items in this set again, if they already own the whole Steampunk set.

Thank you, rosemow. I don't have that set yet, so I cannot check it myself. I'll make a quick update for now, but I will come back to make it more detailed.

Yes, it should help people, even if the items have the title "Steampunk Kitchen" before them. I believe that some people lose interest in Sims 3 for a time and come back to it months later. They are most likely the ones to forget and get confused. It's best to be sure, in case there's confusion with other items, especially the other Steampunk items and sets. :)

Thanks to this list I bought a couple dresses that I didn't know existed in the game. I also got a hairstyle I will be using in my historical legacy sometime later. I have bookmarked it. :)

Okay, I think the Thermal Sanitarium might really be gone now. Last few times I checked, I didn't see it. But then again, it may appear if you buy an item from the same category as the other tubs. I wonder if I should leave it there. It might be safer to remove it as being available in game... :?

I noticed that the Long Mandarin Coat is now included in the new compilation "No Tricks, Just Treats". But with the "vaulting" going on, I'm considering leaving it on the single-only items list, as the compilation will probably vanish after Halloween. Just a thought. We'll see.

:?: The individual items from the Steampunk Kitchen set do not show as being owned even if the set is already owned. Watch for the the title "Steampunk Kitchen" in the item's name. ~ rosemow

Just an oddball update on this section (and a bump because this list is awesome).

The Steampunk Kitchen items (and the Edwardian Expressions items) show as owned if you have the New Year, New Kitchen set, however neither of the parent sets (Steampunk Kitchen and Edwardian Expressions) show as owned in the store.

The Indian inspirations pieces show owned with the April 2012 Compilation Set, though the parent sets like India Inspirations Clothing and Hairstyles do not show as owned to me.

    Nothing like inconsistency!

Thanks, Zasadet! I'll make a note of it.

I also noticed that the Hula Dancer Lamp has been fixed. I noticed that it shows me as being owned now.

The Halloween compilations are also still up, last time I checked. Maybe they won't be vaulted.

Updates coming up based on these.

Edit: Okay I just checked my link and the Hula Dancer Lamp shows as not being owned again. What's going on here? Are there 2 of them now? :?

On the "Set Only List" I thought that I might mention that there IS a way to get it separately, but not as known about, and really isn't very fun. For example, I own ONLY the Candy Cane Canine Chew fromt he Happy Holidays for your Furry Friends! set, and I did this by:

    -go to Google.com
-search for "Sims 3 Store [insert name of item you are looking for]" (for example, I searched "Sims 3 Store Candy Cane Canine Chew")
-It will be one of the first links, it should be, at least, but you can find links to ALL of these items like this, I believe, I have yet to test it on all of the items!
-Through the page you have "uncovered" you can purchase the item, gift it, or even add it to your WL!

    Enjoy your new item :D

Thanks for the thread, by the way

Wow, you're right! Technically, it is still easy to miss, so I may still keep finds like that around here somewhere.
I'm also considering adding the vaulted sets/items so that people can check to see when they are available, as they will be easier to miss now.

I totally agree, I found this out when I was looking up a hairstyle that was apparently only in a set, when I found the store page. But when I looked through categories on the Store, it wasn't there :?

I can't wait to see the new list!

Zulie, from my experience you can unearth pretty much every single item that otherwise only comes in the set in the Store, apart from old hottubs. You can also open up a random item from the set and change the number in the link with +1 or -1 to get all the separate item links, that's how AznSensei used to post separate items before the sets were broken into subsets and separates.

Thank you sooooo much for composing these lists 2MaHawk! I never know when hair styles or clothing is also included in a set. For example with the new outfits included in the Waning Moon set, when you browse through create-a-sim on the store and click on them, they don't show a link to the Waning Moon set, eg Powhatan Outfit:
    http://store.thesims3.com/productDetail.html?productId=OFB-SIM3:58031&categoryId=13813&scategoryId=11714&pcategoryId=11711&ppcategoryId=11710&gender=male

I also saw this new outfit in the store: Perpetual Renewal Outfit, but have no idea whether it's part of a set or not (no link is shown) and a search didn't bring up any set results:
    http://store.thesims3.com/productDetail.html?productId=OFB-SIM3:57996&categoryId=&scategoryId=11710&pcategoryId=&ppcategoryId=&gender=female&startAt=0
Anyone any ideas whether this outfit is part of a set or not?

EDIT: @mbrynildsen: saw that one too, I bought it as it was on sale, but not sure whether it's a separate item, or part of a set. Same mystery. :?

mbrynildsen and Corwim, thank you both for bringing these items to my attention. :)

mbrynildsen, the item you've shown me is The Ambassador's Assistant. Yes, it is a single-only item. And it's already on the list. I arranged everything there in alphabetical order, though keep in mind that they may have the word "the" or something like that in the title.

Corwim, those items are both part of the new Waning Moon set. I just got those yesterday, and they show as being owned, but as you were saying, there's no indication on the item's page that they are part of the set. Interesting to say the least...

Well, were they hard to find? I'll consider posting a link for them here if they were. I heard that people were having trouble finding the fire pit.

    Any input appreciated as always.

Thank you for your reply 2Mahawk! I had actually missed that the second outfit was from the Waning Moon set as well. I am new to the store though, so that's probably why. Still, someone browsing the outfits section might decide to buy a number of those outfits, to only later notice that they are part of a set because the link to that was missing, and end up with the choice of having to pay again for the outfits when buying the full set, or opting to buy each item they don't have yet individually. I agree they are easy enough to find right now, but maybe in a few months time it might not be so easy anymore. Just my two cents though.

Those are interesting points, Corwim. I do hope EA fixes the issue with the items being mistaken as single-only items and adds the info about them being part of the set. I shall revisit them later, but for now I'm hopefully helping the situation by omitting them from the single-only items list.

Also, I started adding links to the set-only (or so it seemed) list. I think I'll put them into a separate section later.

Thanks for this list. I'll be updating my wish list over the weekend. Having the wish list is the only way I can be reasonably sure I don't I don't buy the same item multiple times.

You sure do help, actually, I've reorganised my wishlist based on your easy to miss list. It makes it very easy to only keep these individual items on there next to all the sets I would like, without there being any doubles (individual/part of set) on it anymore. So thank you again for making this list and keeping it up to date!

I still love this list and don't want to see it get too lost.

With all the gifts flying around right now It might be helpful to have this a bit easier to find!
