I've started work on the private residence and realized that sometimes the hardest client to work for is yourself!!! :? This residence is meant to be the care taker's home for Valley Falls Park, but will also be home for Judy Self and Betsy. Judy Self is being extremely picky about what she wants or doesn't want here! I decided that perhaps we should sit down and discuss this together to get a better idea of where to go with this project!

We started with some very basics- Judy Self knew how she wanted the fireplaces so we started there! She also was adament about how she wanted the stairs. So we finally have a beginning point

Now, we're debating on whether it should be a double chimney? :? This could be a very long project!

The only other thing we've completely agreed on right now is placing some trees between the properties! They were placed in world edit so if you want the same affect, you will have to place the trees there yourself!

I really like this hutch but may end up having to swap it out... it's sticking a bit through the ceiling right now because of the home being built on platform :?

Quick update on outdoor landscaping/design. After some discussion with Judy Self, she is getting closer to making up her mind on what she wants?! She likes the old world charm and character, wants to see some of that in the landscaping... She also wants modern conveniences and ammenities- which we have provided with the back patio space. Her primary concern now is that there be enough play space for Betsy and a large dog? So, much of the remaining unworked space will be reserved for that.

Back patio area- nothing has been cas'd yet!

The patio looks lovely Judy. :D Everything has such an authentic/realistic feel to it. I wish they had given us real tikki style thatched roof. Like the ones used for Sunlit Tides community lots. I wonder why they didn't include that roof style with the world? :(

aaaw this is adorable :o and really pretty
nice job :D idk why but it gives me this sort of "efteling vibe" (its a dutch amusement park) they have like this new kind of hotel option where you can sleep in an old foresty looking town called "bosrijk" its really cozy

Thank you Ivinora! Yes, the park and the residence are designed to have that old forest type feel to them while still having the more modern comforts!

    Here is my latest update

Betsy's play area, a bit more landscaping and a small garden space. The side and back portion of the yard are enclosed for child safety and to avoid too much pet chasing!

I am going to leave this portion of back space open for running off energy!

These cherry trees were added because Judy Self loves the cherry trees!

 Never mind the clunker car... It looks like Judy Self might be late for work again!

Wow, I can see an end in sight to this project!! Today's update it work on the basement renovation to casual recreation/entertainment/workout. Judy Self wants it comfortable, light and she isn't concerned with it being traditional or any specific style :? Her main insistance is that it doesn't feel like a basement!
    This was our start
