The three Sims were actually recorded separately and then layered over each other to look like they're sitting together. I recorded them in front of a red wall so that I could remove all the red in Adobe Premiere Pro, then I chose about 2 seconds from each video that looked like they could repeat. After I removed the red, I arranged them over the orange backdrop and exported the video as an animated GIF.
I love your avi and siggy, by the way! Your Sims are so pretty (even in death!).

I've always used Adobe software to make GIFs, but there are a few tools online for converting videos to GIFs, too. Let me know if you ever wanna do one or need some tips.
And your sig changed! Haha, the new one is awesome, too. 8)

I might be able to write one up for you. Do you have Adobe Premiere Pro? That was the main program I used, and the one I really know how to explain. I'm not 100% sure how to do it in other software.

@msbren I use Photoshop for all of my comics.
Unfortunately, the same can't be said for those around her.
*ponder to self* I need to bookmark this thread.

@Viddy Yeah, they moved it here a couple years ago for some reason. O_o Someone at EA must think my toddlers are glamorous?
@Tim This was actually a rare occurrence for Tim in my game. He's been nothing but a big sweetheart otherwise. (apart from when he gets drunk)
