Beach Hut Shell Challenge

Ive created two shell lots on a 15-10 plots
A community lot and a residential lot . They are both totally Unfurnished So you have free rein to create a theme or style.

Goals

(A) Residential lot 25,000 or under
(B) Community lot 35,000 or under
(C) Residential lot No budget
(D) Community lot No budget
(E) Lots that are Base game only

PRIZE FUND 2,000 Sim store points to be divided (may change if more sponsors)

Best of all Competition winner = 500
Residential lot 25,000 or under = 350
Community lot 35,000 or under = 350
Residential lot No budget = 250
Community lot No budget = 250
Lots that are Base game only = 300

RULES

1; Most important rule the lot must stay on the same size plot
as Ive will be placing them all on Sunset Valley Beach.
2; You must NOT change the shell exterior walls.
3; you Can change the interior walls and layout, doors/windows, wall & roof textures, fencing, flooring.
4; The community lot must remain labelled beach lot.
5; You may decorate and furnish how you wish.
6; No CC items patterns or CAP created Patterns.
7; Store content may be used but please Declare it.
8; NO more than 4 Pictures unless you provide a link.
9; Check for routing issues as you will be deducted 5 points if judge finds any.
10; You must put the lots cost in your entry (no lying judges will check).
11; Provide an full description of the lot.
12; Please Check the judging criteria.
13; Remember to complete the entry form fully.
14; Please be nice to all taking part in this challenge.

Critieria for Judging

A maximum of 60 points

TIP for all
If you go into edit world and place some empty 10-15 lots on the beach of Sunset valley.
then place the lot shell your entering on that.
you shouldn't have too bad of a plot rising issue. Sorry I forgot when i built the shells that you may wish to have a flat lot or use other towns.
But if you use this tip and the cheat i posted in the Q&A post .
you should have an almost flat lot.

ANSWER A routing issue is when sims cant get to or use a item that they should be able too (for example the spiral stair case when the railing is to close to wall or banister a sim cant come down them OR when only left a square of space in kitchen cant open dishwasher).

ANSWERSThe items wont matter as they are things you can change
for the ground to flatten it you can use the following cheat SetImportedTerrainOffset

Can we change the exterior wallpaper/roof colour? I was looking forward to playing around with the community lot, then I realized that the one I was looking at was actually the shell for the residential lot instead.

Normally means that for example the sim can't use the stairs, or get to a certain object (like the bed) because something is blocking it, etc.

Hi, LilgirlShadow! Routing issues are when your Sim is supposed to be able to go somewhere or interact with something, but can't. Example: Can go down spiral stairs but can't go up them.

Basically, play test your lot and make sure your Sim doesn't have a spaz attack, stomping their feet about anything. LOL!

I was just toying around with the residential shell, and I came to 24,997$ furnished. I went into Edit Town to save, went back to the house and it's now at 23,573. I'm not using any sims in the house so it didn't get depreciated. I'm not complaining if I mysteriously got extra 1,400$ to play with, but why did that happen lol.

I will be returning from my vacation on the 15th of August. I would be more than willing to help judge, if you would like. I have to see how well I do on vacation before I can offer anything to help sponsor, but can let you know as soon as I come back. Judging offer is still available though.

Hey Cal, in terms of the 25k budget, are you going to sum up all items with their base prices, or are you just going by the overall lot price as shown in Edit Town? I've never built anything on budget and my house keeps depreciating even though I wasn't using any sims in it. Do I refurnish it within 1 save to make sure it's strictly 25k, or is it ok if it's under 25k with depreciated items?
