Yeah! How about the Burbs (and the Marshes)? Will they be coming back, too? They sort of go together...

But my all-time favourite family has to be the Hicks. I'd love to see Mama Hick in her "MIss Sim City" days.
    Yeah, how about them?! :P

Just wanted to say that I am uber excited for this world! First time I've ever been so. Well done, development team; this is the kind of quirkiness I've been looking for. (Watching the video now!)

I have another question about the premades. Is one of the families the Plesent's from the sims 2 and how many families are living in Lucky Palms?

The Pleasants are not in Lucky Palms, just the Dreamers. Watch for the Pleasants to make an appearance in a future world ;)

There are 20+ families living in Lucky Palms.

I was already sold...but this just sold me on the "future world"...the Pleasants are one of my favorite families from TS2!

Daniel...with his relationship with the maid...Mary Sue with her mental breakdown...Lilith who I always made the "good" twin and Angela who I made just like her Dad...

I can't wait to get my hands on them in the Sims 3...oh YES!

Also...you ladies did a great job with the chat...I can't wait for Lucky Palms to come out...thanks!

Could you consider releasing more gambling PC in the store?

    Great chat, thanks!

The Bistro rabbithole replaces the Restaurant, not the diner.

We are considering more gambling objects for Store if interest is high enough :)

Count me on the list of interested enough!!

I want to say this world looks wonderful, i wasn't sure i wanted it because i havent ever really liked the desert, to me no rain is a sign of the end of the world or bizzaro world, or evil mutants at work or something. lol (originally from new orleans) I live in a place where there is drought now and i hate how things look, so depressing. but this world isnt depressing at all it's beautiful. Im so excited for the new plants. And thanks for making the mailbox available in buydebug
, ya'll really are listening to us i can tell.

Still want a poker table though!!!!!!!(please)

Thanks for making a great world.

oh i was going to ask about build/buy stuff too, what is there?

So I will admit, I was nervous when we picked this theme. I was afraid a desert would look too...well, boring? Dry? Empty? But my team assured em they could make it beautiful and they came through :)

There are new build, buy, and world layer items in the town, you'll be able to see them all when we launch the world on the Sims 3 Store next week. Some of the buy items I didn't show off in the chat include a new hot tub, a large picture with 5 stencils, and a curtain.
and triangular windows in the wall of the short pitched roof. Or was it an illusion?

Good catch! There are two new windows in the world and one of them is the triangular window!

O.M.Geee! Transom windows! Now I got PWRS (Pre-World Release Syndrome)! Please help me.

PWRS (Pre-World Release Syndrome)...I LOVE it!! lol

    Hey Sarah!

That dang frog was so cute. It amazes me the amount of interactions and things that you guys come up with to include in the new objects/worlds. Great imaginations.

Very nice job on the chat also. Lunar Lakes is one of my favorite worlds just because it is so different from the others and this world looks like it will be also. Gambling is a fun option but I wont use it every time I play so I love that this world is so much more than that. And getting the evil child when I was trying to show off something adorable would so happen to me too, lol.

Looking forward to it's release and do something fun in real life for yourself before you jump into the next world, you deserve it.

But the question is, will it be a younger Daniel (and perhaps his sister Jennifer) and a younger Mary-Sue, or will it actually be younger Jeff and Diane (Daniel and Jennifer's parents who were playable in TS1, for anyone who doesn't know)

I always thought it was odd that we have a young Kaylynn Langerak in Sunset Vallley, which was always a minor character, and not the Pleasants... :?

If anyone would like to join me I have made a thread here http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/552940.page#8842167 to register interest in further gambling items being added to the store, to show the gurus our enthusiasm and interest in purchasing more items such as poker tables and roulette.

If you have Late Night installed there are a few clebs. We have a retired actress, a musician, and a celebrity chef to name a few.

First, I'd like to say when it was announced I thought I wasn't interested. But after seeing the chat, I have changed my mind - it's a beautiful world!

    About the premade celebs:

Say we don't get this world until after SN (bit of a financial hole to crawl out of before getting anything else right now :( ).
If we select no celebs in a save in this world, will they be affected if we had not entered that household before changing it?

I think you all are doing a great job. I have loved all of the worlds I've purchased from the store, and I have them all. :D

My question, what was your favorite feature that was incorporated in this world, other than the obvious ones (dry sea, wishing well, new plants, desert feel, etc)? I'm looking for something more obscure that people may not notice right away.

One more, are there dead sims? And, if so, are they special colors or have any mystery about them? I ask because I know a lot of people enjoy the mysteries in towns regarding the dead, and we were kinda sad to find the dead sims in ST to be just normal sims.

For all of your wonderful, beautiful, and creative worlds,
    thanks.gif

Will the world be available in regular stores like Walmart or Target? I like my games on disk in case something goes wrong and I have to uninstall it.

You can very easily uninstall the store content, including world, via the launcher. They don't put store content on disc. Sorry.

My interest is extremely high! I would love to have a full on Vegas-style casino with all the same gambling options! Thanks for considering this. :)

Yes they do. You can buy Barnacle Bay and Hidden Springs in Target and other stores now. Lunar Lakes will probebly be announced soon for release in stores.

Lucky Palms most likely Spring of next year will hit retail.

The world wasn't actually on the disc though, the code was on a separate leaflet/back of the box which simply needed to be entered at the store.
