Game Launcher Problems.

Hi all,
I can run my game (Sims3 - base game only)fine, but when I go into the game launcher and click Game Updates, nothing happens for a minute and it's a white screen with the check mark for automatic updates showing, and then a pop up saying 'Unable to Connect to EA download manager" appears. It says the version I'm running is 1.0.631.00001, but I can't install any updates or patches to change this. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I have tried uninstalling then re-installing.

Are you running the latest version of EADM, also known as Origin? The download manager should update itself the next time you start it while connected to the internet. Otherwise the latest version of that application can be downloaded from the following link:
http://origin.com/download
Once the latest Origin client is installed and running, try updating via the launcher again.
If you are still unable to patch via the launcher, you can download and apply the latest standalone PC base game Super Patcher. To that end, you can check out the following sticky thread:
