ah addict the mansion isn't mine. maybe a thread hijack or a BnS participant mixing up threads :? i think its by millsta. you would have to check with them
also what size did you want to resize them to? there doesn't seem to be a problem my end but if theres a problem i am happy to fix it.
magic does that photo have anything to do with BnS? its a little random :?
millsta my advice is start a new forum post in creative corner. you can gauge reactions for it and get your name out there. you might have to bump it a few times so it doesn't get buried but it is a promising home.
also if you ever want to try a building challenge stop by we would be happy to have you.
Don't worry about the deadline because I love the new Summer of Love entries!
Icraw,
Very nice job with the duplex. An enormous, impressive build. I know that took a long while and it looks great.
SuzyQ7,
I love that you worked to imitate her real home, and I really enjoyed the "fun" portrayed in her home. And you're right: that car is cool!
Chase,
Your link didn't hyperlink. Off to cut and paste to check it out now.
EDIT: OMG, there's a cow on the roof! Perfect. And the pink striped paper is dead-on. I noticed you have the terrain paint tool in your pics. I always try to bury them in the build (because it has a floor and won't show up there) when I take pics. Hope that will help next time around.
Thanks Addict! I know the pictures are not the best...haha. I have not been to sleep for three days so I have been kinda out of it.
Well, I am finally here from the beginning of a BnS Challenge, so maybe I can keep up with everyone's builds this time around!
amchristian: I really like all the bright colors you used! I like the roof and door/window wood coloring too. It looks almost Spanish from the outside.
Animaga: I love the entire outside of this house! The rockwork, the fencing, all of it! I also really like the tile in the kitchen, and the chair fabric colors. They blend nicely.
peacemaker_ic: I love the roof lines of this home! The living room and master bedroom wallpaper are great, and I love the white without the starkness.
ZYIsSims: Another fun modern starter! I love the deep purple in the bath and girls' room. I also like how you divided their room with a table! I also like the cherry tree against the muted home color.
Yesac: The carport is great, and I like the way you laid out the girls' room. You got a whole lot of space in that house for a starter! I love the green in the bathroom marble too.
Kayllisti: The light blue against the dark wood in the living room is beautiful! I love, LOVE what you did with the wallpaper over the two different beds! Clever!
Rec's all around!
PS. I apologize for my addiction to smiley faces and exclamation points. It cannot be helped. ><
peacemaker_ic: I love the roof lines of this home! The living room and master bedroom wallpaper are great, and I love the white without the starkness.
thankyou kharii. that roof design is my favourite out of all of them. i tend to use white and cream a lot in small houses to hopefully make them seem a bit bigger than they actually are.
Constructive critism please. I am an amateur builder, this home looked good to me until I looked at the other entries, now it looks like my 7yo son built it

I went almost crazy with this one! On the second try, I came down around $20.500 and had to delete some stuff, wich I hate!
So I replaced all things with cheaper ones and deleted some cluther but not too much. The final 13 were hard to get off!
But it turned out good and I hope you all enjoy the lot.

Thx to Addict1220 and Yesac for the wonderfull tips on starter homes! The one from Yesac really helped to make this a big starter home!
Also thx to all pattern creators out there! I seem to have much more patterns now, probably from the Summer of Love neighborhood.
EA really needs to do something to keep the creator in that content! I can't remember them all!
amchristian: I really like all the bright colors you used! I like the roof and door/window wood coloring too. It looks almost Spanish from the outside.

Thank you, Kharii! (As you see I have no problem with exclamation points and smilies.)
I love the Spanish influence in architecture and colors and have been trying to incorporate those in to more of my work. I am about to start working on several houses based on Spanish style plans. I'm going to try to keep those as starters as well, which will be a little hard. I love the inner courtyards with pools or patios... .and there is a lot more landscaping, of course.
Anyway, all that to say thanks for noticing the tiny bit of Spanish flavor I added for the Caliente family! hehe
P.S. I'm glad you liked the colors. I'm a fiend about those, I'm afraid. And I find that it is a love or hate kind of thing with other builders. hehe
Well my lot came in at 19.908 furnished, and 14,407 unfurnished so here it is, my Caliente Starter Home. the pictures are all squished up, sorry. i hope you like it though. http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=796254
Details: This was actually more diffcult than I thought it would be. Infact I scrapped my build about 3 times and started again lol - that's the trouble with starters, you have a design in mind, start building, get so far and then thing **** I have run out of funds. Oh well I think I met all the requirements. I can't remember the final price but it was just under 20k.
Hey guys, can you please check the size of your pictures and resize them so the page don’t gets mess up? Thank you! Here are some great instructions from Gheez on how to size your screenshots:
I've been playing with the image sizes & found that if I add height & widths to the details of the image posted then the page doesn't get too wide.
It is fairly easy - just add "width=600" "height=450" to the image details just before the final [***/img***]
Like this:
[***img***]http://llnw.thesims3.com/sims3_asset/sims3_asset/me
dia/443/144/000/00/screenshot_original.jpg "width=600" "height=450"[***/img***]
Or - just copy the url of your image - paste it into the message body & add "width=600" "height=450". Then highlight the whole string & press the Img button.
Note that you need the speech marks " & - obviously - the [***img***] tag should NOT include the ***
Hope that helps & hope it is understandable.
