    I think i know what the creature is.

    Hey Simmerz i was thinking and since i heard somewhere on the forums that it was confirmed that werewolves will NOT be the creature that arrives with "Pets" so i thought that it made since (& it would be really cool) if the new creature was a shapeshifter!!! you know it would make since now that we can fully controll our pets...what do you guys think? and just to be clear a shapeshifter is a human that can at will (Most of the time) transform into an animal (rarely anything other than an animal).

      omg like everyone knows the new creature is gonna be mermaids! when you sim is fishing or hanging out on the beach they will swim up and sing to your sim and lure them to their death :!: :twisted:

      Unfortunately, you cannot take everything you read on the Internet at face value. The person who claimed that werewolves were denied completely misinterpreted a quote (as was revealed in that same topic).

      I reckon it WILL BE WEREWOLVES, that's the usual creature we get with Pets, so why would it be different this time?

      You've all made me sooo excited!!! I really want to know what the creature is! All of your ideas sound great, shapeshifters, mermaids, giant hamsters, this Pets expansion pack is gonna be goooood :D

      I do think that shapeshifters would actually be more likely than werewolves. I think EA wants to keep some things the same, but they also want to change things up a bit rather than redo the same stuff. Like instead of getting zombies back, we got Mummies, instead of Servo we got steampunk Simbots, we got a more modern version of vampires, and the Invisible Friend was completely out of left field (though technically they were in Makin' Magic). So I feel like instead of keeping with the classic movie monster style werewolf, they'd want to do shapeshifters because in TS3 Pets you can control the pets, and so you could experience being each kind of animal!

      Of course this is all speculation.

      Nowhere did he say werewolves will NOT be in the game, he just said there's a surprise.

      I think shape shifters would be a great idea, as in a way you still get werewolves, if you have your sim shift into a dog :)

      I cant believe they haven't released information about the new creature yet, Im pretty sure for the other EPs we found out right away....or I could be wrong?

      Actually, if the creature is a werewolf, it is not surprising that it hasn't yet been announced. For Sims 2 Pets, the werewolf was not revealed until just before release.

      Well, it was never confirmed that it wasn't werewolves, he just interpreted it differently.

      I think it is either werewolves or shapeshifters.
