Hi guys,

I have always wanted to build an Austrian chalet. I had such wonderful vacations in that beautiful country and always wanted to create a modern version of the Austrian chalet. So I built Edelweiss and this is my fastest built ever! Guess I was inspired! I am very interested to know what you guys think of my built. So all comments are welcome. If you do like my modern chalet please do download and recommend. Thanks! Here are some pics:

    Hey, Yanti!

I love your new home. It is a style we don't often see on The Sims, and that is a breath of fresh air! I would love to spend an afternoon on that patio at the table with some cold lemonade.

Always nice to see your work.

Svyln - Awww, thanks a lot dear! You are always so sweet and supportive! I am glad that the chalet reminded you of your Brother's Austrian granny's house. Your comment made my day. :D:D Thanks for downloading and recommending! Means a lot to me! ((Hugs))

Addict - Thanks for stopping by to comment on my thread. The forums are so quiet the last few days. Everybody playing generations I guess. :D I am glad you like this type of build. Unfortunately the cover pic didn't come out too well. The chalet looks much better in game. Anyway, thanks for your lovely comment. I appreciate it.((Hugs)) :D

Edelweiss is such a lovely chalet! The high roof, rustic design, covered firewood area, and landscaping all make me feel like I'm at one of those mountain chalets. I like the variety of objects you used throughout the house and the harmony you created with a pleasant, warm color scheme. Downloaded, recommended, and favorited.

I hope you've been doing well. It's always nice to see another creation from one of my favorite builders.

Take care, and have a wonderful weekend,
    Bill

    Hi Yanti,

This build looks great as usual. I did notice that you didn't CAS the sides of the tiles. You can click on the edges of the tiles on your balconies and recolour them to better match the exterior of your house.

The landscaping is very nice and I love the shape of the pool. I love the colours you have used and, of course, your attention to detail. This is my favourite room. I love that clock on the wall.

Well done and I've left your a rec.

    Have fun!

Yanti... Yanti... Yanti... You never cease to amaze me!!! You have truly captured the real essence of an Austrian chalet, and your right I too have had great vacations in Austria! Your execution of the lot is impeccable as ever, your landscaping stunning, and your interiors refined and boisterous at the same time, it is a beautiful example of your work, and a real feast for the eyes! I love the balconies, especially the one over looking the main garden, truly stunning! I really enjoy seeing your creations again, and I sit in anticipation on the edge of my seat until your next lot is released! Rec and dl from me! Lots of love-Jonathan-

Yanti, I like the interior color scheme, my favorite colors. The designer spiral staircase wouldn't have been my choice for that style of build. The white fences on your balcony could be of my taste, if they were matching the rest of the chalet: plain wood. I like the doors you chose inside and outside. I like the landscaping. Overall it looks like a swiss luxury vacation chalet.

PS MerryWiddow, thanks for the tile side recolouring tip. I didn't know about that. :D

Bill - Great to hear from you. How are you doing? I am waiting patiently to see your Egyptian build. Thanks for always being so nice and supportive. Great to know that I am one of your favourite builders. Thanks for that! :D I am glad you think that the chalet looks authentic. I tried my best. Dbaa - Thanks for your comments. I am glad you liked the interiors. I used the spiral stairway because I thought it would look perfect for a modern build. About the fence, I wanted to CAS it but it is not recolourable. It is one of the earlier fence from the store and sadly enough couldn't be CASed! Anyway since the downstairs wall is white and there is a fair amount of wood in the exterior I thought that the fence didn't look out of place. I guess it is a matter of personal taste. :-)

Linday - Thanks a lot sweetie! Glad you liked my chalet. Thanks for the rec. (((Hugs))) :D

Imoger - Hi there sweetie! You are always so supportive and kind to me. I appreciate you. Your comments made my day! Glad you liked my chalet. Thanks a million for downloading and recommending.
