For my first cozt starter home, I kept things simple and clean and only what was necessary...with a few decorative flourishes to make playing in the house more enjoyable.

This one bedroom, one bathroom home sells for just over 14,000 simoleans! A perfect price to put a personal touch to the house, as well as have some money left over to survive until the first big promotion at work.

yanti68 - Thanks so much! It's harder then one might think to make a decent starter. I'm used to just moving in to the Maxis ones and living there until I can afford better. But I also enjoy the ability to build on to a house as the Sims needs/family grows.

What a cute starter! It looks so cozy and comfortable! I like the polka dot book shelf you used in the kitchen/living room. It's very cute. I'm off to rec!

Rec'd!
pistons27275 - Thanks!
Isabella_Schatz - I tried to keep it pretty simple, and with the low cost, feel it's better for people to fully decorate it as they like it. Keeping it simple, and still nice was key!
vanilija - Thanks so much! I wanted it to look liveable, and not just like a big box. Glad you like it!

This home is the ideal home for a small family. Made with the budget of two parents and one child in mind, it is a 2 story home with lots of room to grow and fill with furniture. It costs only 17,369 simloeans, so it is well within the budget and allow some extra spending money to survive until work can be found.
It has an open, spacious living area with kitchen, dining and living room all flowing together. As well, there is a separate study and laundry suite on the main floor.
The first bedroom and full bathroom are on the main floor, with a Master bedroom and ensuite bath on the second floor.
Comments are always welcome!

Build'n'Share Challenge 82-83
30x30 Lot size

For this weeks challenge, we had to build a house according to a specific floor plan; trying to stay as true to the plan as possible.
With this is mind, I kept the rooms smaller and truer to the actual dimensions given on the floor plan, often dividing the given sizes in half (14 ft = 7 sqaures). I decorated fully in the French Country style, with lots of rich woods, bright colours and white washed furniture.
All comments are appreciated and more then welcome!

I'm on a bit of a mad streak with making apartements/townhouses/etc., at the moment and was just curious of people are actually interested in downloading, or even making their own? Something is so intriguing about making them!
I guess I'm just curious if people even want them, or if everyone is satisfied with the ones that EA provided.

Going to go rec
As for the apartments. I do not care for the EA ones. I too have re done most of them. I havent posted any as it would be hard to see from the exchange, but if you were to post pics here it would probably help. And if you change the cover shot and include some interior shot it may do well on the exchange? Whats to stop you? If you like doing it, do it!! I build because I enjoy it. I am sure there will be others who will enjoy your apartment!! Go for it. I will be waiting to see them!!

Yeah, I figured as much. I tend to start many (MANY) houses and not always finish, and I have loved doing apartments since back in Sims 2 and was beyond excited when I found out we got them back in the LN expansion this go around.
Something about simply making a shell and detailing an entire building but only having to worry about one small portion of it is nice...haha.
