Alternative to "Set Age" cheat

I've recently read many posts about people having problems not using the "Set Age" cheat. Some one gave me an alternative way to change a Sims age.

Note: I have not used it yet.

First: choose the Sim in your game
Second: use the cheat code "testcheatenable true" w/o quotes. I hope I got it right.
Third: use that Sims cell phone to bring that Sims to CAS to make changes.

I suspect you will what to turn that cheat code off when you are done.

I hope this will help some people. If I made any mistakes here, please call them out. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you need indie stone for that to work.

This is correct, and does not require IndieStone (in fact, to my knowledge, IS has been defunct and discontinued for some time now). It works because there is currently a bug (or perhaps a debugging 'feature' deliberately implemented by EA) that resets the Sim's age when you enter the 'dresser' or 'mirror' CAS modes while 'TestingCheatsEnabled' mode is active.
