Oh my god, AGAIN??!

Okay, so all of my save files are becoming unplayable. I click it, and the loading bar goes up really fast then it says "a fatal error has occurred, it is strongly recommended that you restart the game." It does not work when I restart it. About 7 of my saved files are like this, please help me.

Old process - go to your save files, are have they spawned versions of themselves that have a .bad ending?

Those need to die. But let me double check that I remember this correctly - there are also the same files that don't have the .bad attached to it right?

    Here, http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/125651.page

She explained how to fix the old error code 16 problems, which was basically the same...it just had an easier fix involving going into your game and hitting 'save as' instead of save.

Did your remove the ".backup" from the end of the file with the same name?

    example:

    Sunset Valley.sims3.backup

    to

    Sunset Valley.sims3
    The%20Goths.png?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bounds

I tried doing that, when I do it asks me if I want to merge the two files. Since theres another one that isn't a backup or a bad one, what do I do then?

Delete the .backup and the original .Sims 3 and rename the .backup to just
    .Sims 3.
