downloading cc

I've seen some cc clothing that I really would like but I'm not sure how I download it from the site to my game. I'm not very technical minded so please keep it nice and simple. Can anyone tell me?

dont try to get cc from the exchange. its WAY to hard to get rid of things if you get something bad, and there is ALOT of bad cc on the exchange.

i can give you a quick rundown of what you need to do to set up a cc folder for package files if you want

I wasn't intending to use the exchange. A quick rundown of what I need to set up a cc folder would be good. Thanks.

its actualy alot easier than most people think.

all you need to do is go your my docs/ea games/thesims 3

inside that folder, you will right click in an empty place, and create a new folder.
    name it mods.

open your new mods folder, and rick click again, this time create a folder called packages.

    your almost done!

go back to the mods folder, and next to the package folder but not inside of it, you want to put the framework. you can find it here

    http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Installing_Sims_3_Package_Files/Post_Patch_1.12/2.7/3.3

just right click the resource cnf link they give you, and 'save link as' right to your mods folder.

thats pretty much it. after that, all you need is winrar, and you can extract anything you download right to the package folder.

It has a Package folder and Resource.cfg in it. I've got the sp mod, mc mod & the overwatch in package folder.

oh well it sounds like your already set up then.

one last question, is it the old set up or the new set up?

before ambitions it was in program files. now it goes in my docs.

also, if you have the old set up, you will need the newer resource cnf file

thats more or less the same thing i think.

ok all you need to do now is find something you want to download, and extract it directly to the package folder :)
