  Yeah I was supposed to make hot dogs for some guy named Cyclone Sword or something. It took me a day or so to figure out that if you click on your sim with the opportunity, then click on the map, somewhere on the map is a picture of the person who you are supposed to talk to. If you click on that it should tell you the name of the opportunity. Hope that helps.

  I had that opportunity. I made the hot dogs and then put them in my inventory. I went to Map view and over one of the houses, there was a pic of the Sim I was supposed to take them to. I went to her house to visit her, once there, I had the option to give her the hot dogs.

  You have your inventory open then you click, drag, and drop the hotdogs right into the inventory window.
