I have both the phone and Sims 3 on the phone... HOWEVER, the game does not play the same as sims 2 for mobile. The graphics are only slightly improved, there is a town map, BUT I have found that because of the touch screen (the controls for scrolling and selecting on on the screen itself, but you do not interact with your sims using the touch screen directly) the game has been difficult to play.
There are appliances to repair and clean (using mini games )and in some cases you cannot eat or use the toilet unless you make the repairs or clean. Therefore if you cant get through these mini games you cannot continue. And in one of many attempts to fix my fridge, I got electrocuted and died anyways.
I wish I had known how frustrating the game is on mobile. Ok, its only seven bucks, but I would not have spent it, had I known.
