I added the pic of the kitchen table area this time because I had forgotten it.
I looks cleaner now.
It's such a small room to get good pics of.
Thank you and anyone else who wishes to comment, on your input. Input is good!
The changes look really great. Have you play tested it yet? I ask because the doorway into the bedroom looks a little cramped. I just want to be sure everything works.
I really would like some constructive criticism for my new lot as I am new to the whole building thing. I am quite proud of it.
I need to furnish the inside as it is completely empty.
OMG I completely forgot about this house! I want to finish it but I'm worried that I deleted it
I did have a go at interior but I found it quite difficult because some of the rooms were a bit small
I hope you didn't delete either. It's a nice house. If you need help with the interior, might I suggest that you check out the links in assignment 2. It focuses on the interior design. Good luck!
You have a talent for landscaping. This is beautiful. I love the little shed, so cute.
I have only one thing to say. I have learned from past experience to be very careful that the footprint of all of the plants near the edge of the lot are actually on the lot and not overhanging a little. If the footprint does overhang there are problems with placing the lot for the downloader. I know it is a lot of work to check, but worth it.
Thank you very much, I enjoy that, I think more then the interior decorating. I can spend hours at it. I love the different terrain paints and plants and am always on the look out for new ones.
I forgot to tell you that I put the trash can in the shed, and it does work.
I also have a serious problem with the moveobjects cheat( I love it but) if used too much in over all game, not just one lot, my game crashes without any warning at all. At first I thought it to be a cc problem but have narrowed it down to the cheat. Which is horrible because there is so much you can do with it to make your game more realistic. As a matter of fact, that is all I can do to this lot with it on. It crashed on me three times last night.

That's interesting. I never connected the MOO cheat with crashing. I have not had that problem. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else had that problem.
Just wanted to stop by,
I really have been missing it here.
I have to say this is one of the greatest learning threads. I just wanted to thank you guys for everything that you have taught me and others too. I'll try to stop in more often.

Merrywidow,
I'm not sure what you mean by write a story, what kind of story?
I did do what I thought you wanted and posted it under documentaries.
I have no idea how to get it here for you to check.
I have finished the interior of my modern home. Feedback, put to use, then I will upload and give all of you the link.
Please tell me what you think!
View One of Living Area Notice the windows in this one. You need to turn one of them around.
Dining Area Maybe you could consider changing one of the patterns, either the table or the rug. They are both stripes, but different stripes, and they seem to clash.
View Two of Kitchen You need a kitchen sink. I'm also concerned about the wall and floor tiles. Might I suggest a large tile floor in one of the colours.
View One of Bedroom This is lovely. No curtains? Is this by choice or an oversight?
Overall very well done. I like your bold colour choices.
Merrywidow,
I'm not sure what you mean by write a story, what kind of story?
I did do what I thought you wanted and posted it under documentaries.

This is what I meant by 'Create a Story'.
You have a very short story there. I would suggest a least 2 pictures of each room from different angles. Try to take a few pictures of the best features of the landscaping. Also try to take your pictures with a Sim in the house in 'Cameraman Mode'. This way you can take pictures from Sims eye view and you will have no grid lines. Take your pictures in daylight for the best lighting, but also include a couple of night time pictures. These will show that you have included exterior lighting. It is also a good idea to include an overview from top down. You don't have to say much with each picture, just a simple description like you have done is great. You want to show you house in the best light. You want to show how proud you are of your creation. Let this come through in your presentation.
Thanks for the feedback! The curtains were and oversight... I always seem to forget them! I didn't notice the windows, I will fix that right away. Don't know why I didn't put in a kitchen sink--I always remember that! I can't wait to finish this home and get it up on the Exchange!
Laurenruth: Your kitchen seems alittle cramped. You could delete the counters and cabinets by the enterance so that you have an L shaped kitchen. Also, do you have a light in the kitchen it seems dark.

I'm glad I could help. The kitchen sink is something I always forgot when building in TS2 and I still sometimes have to check. I have a check list that I refer to to make sure I don't forget anything.
When you do your final walk through of the house, have a checklist.
Is there artwork and decorative items?
Are there curtains and sinks? (I always forget the sinks.)
Is my Sim getting the 'Decorated' or higher moodlet?
Do all of the faucets match in the bathrooms?
Is there toilet paper and towels in all of the bathrooms?
Are there fire alarms by the stove and all fireplaces and inventing table?
Is there a burglar alarm outside the front door?
Are all of the walls and floors finished?
Is there enough lighting?
Is the house functional?
Is it spacious enough?
Is it fully landscaped?
Does the style match throughout the house?
Is the layout efficient?
Watch you Sims moodlets as they walk slowly from room to room. Have walls up and do the tour from Sims eye view. You will see things there you will not see from looking down from a bird's eye view. Tour the exterior of the house too. And, of course, play test everything. Especially anything you used MOO on.
You have done a great job of following the plan. Your link didn't work, but I've fixed it here. I just needed to put a url tag around it. I'm looking forward to more from this build.
It's looking good. I've recommended and upped your downloads. Good luck on the exchange.
Note: Try to take your pictures from in game in 'Cameraman Mode' so you don't have the grid lines. You can also get good Sims eye level pictures this way with the walls up and this will give a better showing of your lot.
Sometimes I areally have to wonder about myself, at first I thought you ment the camera, then the sim's camera, finally it got through to me! That is a wonderful and powerful tool, thank you. Some things I grasp so easily and others.... I just don't know.
