I love the landscaping from the front of the house. I would love to see it up closer. What have you done in the back of the house? Looking forward to more pics.

Hi, I'm Sam and I'm new to building. I recently made a new house and I'd like to share it with you, but I don't get the whole picture thing, so if I figure it out I'll post my pictures here. It's a nice starter house that costs 1200 Simeleons.

Hi Sam and welcome. There is a great site that I use to upload my pictures. It is called Tinypic. It is a very simple site. There is an option with each picture you upload to re-size the picture. Choose the size for forums, 640 x 480 pixels. You will then choose the link provided for forums and copy and paste it into your message post. Once you have uploaded your first picture you will get the option to upload more pictures and you can upload 5 at a time. Just make sure you always remember to re-size. Picture that are too big for the forum can cause the page to be stretched and then make it difficult to navigate and read. Looking forward to your pictures.

    Have fun!

First, thanks MW for asking Magic to help me. I prepared my pics and dialogue but before I posted it I decided to have my Sim3 check it out. He didn't have a problem with it. Only me. So I created my own version of Floating U-Shaped stairs.

But the next morning I was scheduled to have a lesion removed from my face. (My So California legacy is skin cancer). A minor process became more serious and recovery more time consuming. So, I started playing around with CFE Lesson 2.

This is for you Mr. Magic. Please open up your bag of tricks. I have not succeeded in putting on a Hipped Roof that 1) covers the second floor without looking rediculous and 2) satifies the elevation drawings.

Please tell me that you tried out this house before assigning it or tell me who has succeeded in finishing the project. Help, please. Will send photos if you want.

I love the orange in the dining room and the bathroom. The layout looks great. For you furniture layout problem I suggest that you use MOO and make an L-shaped sofa with the main sofa where it is and the love seat facing the fireplace. This should leave room for the breakfast bar and space to get around it. I hope this suggestion helps your creativity blossom.

    Have fun!

    hi there

You don't have to make a roof as in the Picture but if you want to do the following: You have an L shape house, 1st drag the roof from front to rear all the way, then from left to right all the way on the other leg. I don't know if you know how to make the roofs the same height.

    I hope this helps you.

If you still have a problem you can post the Pic's for me to see and then we'll take it from there.

    Good Luck

Welcome back to the homework. I love your inspiration pictures. I love the way you have interpreted the pond area. It looks great. The rock garden in the sand I would like to see closer, because from the distance there is something not right about it. It doesn't seem to fit in. Maybe it just isn't big enough or the sand and grass areas are too straight. I love the front of the house. Might I suggest that you use a little more grass terrain paint there. Maybe 2 or 3 different ones.

    Have fun!

Well, I was sitting there in math, and BAM! I got inspiration to pull out some graph paper and make a layout of a home XD I'm going to go build it. I'm taking a break from the victorian, it's quite frustrating

I like it. I like the fountain in the side of the grouping there. I also like the terrain paint you have used. It make the grassy area look very realistic. It looks really nice. Now what have you done in the back yard?

    Have fun!

As of now, I just have a pool and a couple of trees. I don't like the trees they look random and don't go with the back. I should post a picture of the back and see if you would give any suggestions. I want like path ways with gardens but I'm not sure where to put them. And oh, I have a deck also.

And I would like some steps going down levels. I'm not sure how to do that at all. I have tried to do it like a billion times and I just can't seem to get it

This is an example that I'm looking for. http://www.buildersboulevard.com/apps/forums/topics/show/2284749-a-time-of-more?page=last Go down to the seventh picture, but I don't want them as steep.

Why am I keep getting like triple posts? It takes a few seconds for it to post. It usually just posts when I reload the page. I go back and hit the "save" button cause I think it does not post since it takes a few seconds to minutes.

Would something like this be what you are looking for? I've also included a couple of inspiration pictures or suggestions on what you could try for your back yard.

I did those stairs by starting at the level of the house and placing the two sets of stairs then leveled the area at the bottom where I place the pool. These pictures are from the Wright Prairie Style. You can see more landscaping pics here if you are interested.

I have noticed, sometimes, when the the thread is ready for a new page that the browser doesn't update to show the new page yet. The post goes through. You just have to wait a little while or try another browser to see it on the new page. You can usually tell this is happening because it takes you to the top of the page instead of to the new post. Very frustrating.

    Have fun!
