Thanks Merry Widow! Magician, I really like your demonstration of what you can do with a bridge and a pool. IMHO its a bit pointless to have just a bridge over a pool but a nice concept if you get it some purpose.
I agree about the 'Bridge to nowhere' and that is why I came up with this idea. Now the Bridge has a reason for being there and well be used.
It is still having some problems which they say they will fix soon.
Now we can get back to our usual self and Learn Together. I will be popping in more often to give my opinion on your creations. Remember: It's only my Opinion.
I agree kquinn, I think it is a little too busy. Try putting the white and yellow barn design just on the peaks and stay away from a pattern on the rest. I usually just sit and play with different ideas when I get stuck like that. So play around with it and enjoy. You could also try looking at houses on the internet for ideas.

i saw what you did. it was the first one i did and i just wanted to see what it looked like for a one that i wanted to try. good idea tho.
I posted the basic structure of my newest house a few pages back.
Well, now it has windows and doors, and wall coverings (but still no pillars on the porch. I keep forgetting those)
Obviously I've not done much else to it yet, I of course have all the landscaping to do and I've only painted the downstairs walls inside. But:
I think it's taking shape quite nicely at the moment, actually. I'm really liking the shutters on the windows.
For those who didn't see the original post with the details, this is a large family home I'm working on right now. It has six large bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. (:
Messed around with building some, so I figured I'd give the assignment tasks a try. I threw on basic wall and floor coverings, something about drywall throws me off

It's taking shape quite nicely. I too like the shuttered windows. I think they would look better on all of the windows though. Great job and looking forward to more.

You have done a great job with assignment 1. I like your interpretation of the floor plan. The only thing I would change is the single wall you have by itself in the kitchen. You might find that difficult to deal with. You can move on to assignment 2.

I tried that. My problem was that the shuttered windows I used were two grid squares in width and they wouldn't fit on the one square wide dormers. Even when I used MoveObjects on, they just didn't sit right. And the dormers looked silly any wider than they are now.
So I had to settle for using the shuttered ones as the center window on each floor. I did that on both sides and the back too.
I wish I could've used them everywhere, but it just didn't work. It was a bit too much.
I love what you have done. It looks great. Are you working on the landscaping now? I'm looking forward to more pictures.

hey im finished with the landscaping. its like the second thing that did with the house. im working inside now. the inside is alright, im not that great with interior design.

How about showing us some pictures of the landscaping you have done? I know I'd love to see.
This is my newest build. It is CFE Lesson #1 and located at 17 Maywood Land.
BDV-The DiPietro
This is a beautifully furnished 3 bedroom-2 bath Mediterranean Style home with stepdown living room and master bedroom suite featuring glass walls. There are two atriums with extensive flora as well as a large outdoor living area with fireplace and large fountain. It comes complete with a small growing area, gated playground, and a physical fitness room. There is Motherlode-financing to help you become the envy of your town. So don’t hesitate, download The Dipietro now-BDV (See Builders Page for Story.}
The only place I used MOO is to shift the TV into the corner and to move the columns on the porch into the rails.
As you can see, I had a plan for that freestanding wall in the kitchen: with the island counters, it creates a window into the kitchen from the living room.
I am also trying to limit the money I spend on decorations, intending this to be a starter house in my town, hence the cheap objects used.

I can't help you with the CFE question, but I've asked Magic if he can help you.
I love this house. The landscaping is very lush. I only have a couple of suggestions. You might consider putting a little dirt or mulch under the plants and in the playground area the ground would be worn under the swing and other equipment. The colours you have used on the interior are beautiful and blend well together. The furniture layout is great. I love that Beaux found himself a potential bride. Great story too. I've recommended the story. I'm sorry to hear you cannot upload to the exchange. That is a pity because it deserves a recommendation too.

You have done a great job. I would like to have seen a little more colour in the kitchen though. Maybe dot he walls in a textured paint the lightest colour. This would add a little more interest to the walls. I do have a question. I don't see a burglar alarm. Do you have one? This is a great palette and I'm glad you used a bit of neutral colour in with your palette. I would add though, if this was not a starter, I would add some plants in the corners in the living room. Maybe a small table or statue in the alcove by the front door. I hope you will be able to keep to the starter price with the landscaping. I would love to see pictures of the landscaping now as you have passed the interior design.

did you see the suggestion and Pictures I posted for an idea as to why there's a bridge across the pool. It's just a suggestion.
"Let's Learn Together"
In my opinion it is too busy. Maybe try plain paint instead of the Rock/Stone. I think it will look nice with the rest.
