I can't be more jealous. And I don't even have an HDMI Port!
The best bet for me is to install Linux and Virtual Computer, then Windows XP, into my PS3!
By the way, how much did you spend on this machine?
WindsorErick, you are so lucky to have the ATI Radeon™ HD 5800 with 512MB! I only have the ATI Radeon™ HD 5770 with 1GB which is inferior to yours. I want your graphics card! Lucky! :-o
That looks so amazing. I think I'll have to try that. Question: does the size of your tv screen have anything to do with how it looks? Scratch the question, your step-by-step run through is really helpful. Again it looks amazing and great idea!
sorry Guys I hit the save button while in the middle of posting
here we go again.....
Seeing that a couple of you guys asked so nice as to how its done to get it to play on your flat screen.....I thought I would do my best possible to explain
1. You need a HD TV or HD Ready TV
2. If you want the game in full HD your lappy or graphics card should have
and support full HD out and a HDMI cable.
3. If you dont have an HD graphics card, you can still use the standard VGA pc
monitor cable, providing that your TV has a VGA in port.
Now Turn on the TV and select the the port your pc/laptop is plugged into

Ive seen my friend playing it on a 50", it was full HD and it was breath-taking, litrelly, at one point in the game I went to actually make the bed with my own hand... (TRUE)
i don't think my 22 inch monitor has a hdmi slot but it is full HD 1080p and the graphics card can supply hd, so would i be able to buy a cable HD to Dvi cable and connect it to my monitor for HD gameplay or will it make no difference?
Comments
And wow mate, you have
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ (2 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
4 GB RAM
nVidia GeForce 9600 GTs
And I'm using:
Intel Core 2 Duo T 7500 2190 MHz
2 GB RAM
nVidia Quadro FX 570 M
I can't be more jealous. And I don't even have an HDMI Port!
The best bet for me is to install Linux and Virtual Computer, then Windows XP, into my PS3!

ATI Radeon™ HD 5800 with 512MB Discrete Video Memory (Ports: 2x DVI-I, S-Video includes DVI-HDMI & DVI-VGA Dongles)
i only have a 46 inch samsung lcd tv. but im going to try and hook it up to my mac and see what its like.
now im going to have to go out and buy 3 cables.
How do you do it??
here we go again.....
For full HD
You need a HDMI cable that looks like this (most good PC and Adio Visuaul stores sell them)

some graphics cards come with a adapter plug (usually yellow)

Your lappy needs an HDMI out port

your desktop pc should have an HDMI out port on the graphics card (again usually yellow)
Plug the HDMI cable into the corrosponding ports on the Desktop pc/lappy.
Next locate the HDMI in port on the TV

IF you are using the VGA cable the proceedure is the same

Now Turn on the TV and select the the port your pc/laptop is plugged into

Once selected turn on your pc/laptop and you should see the windows boot up diplay on the tv

Your desktop should now be displaying on your TV

Now all you need to do is launch the game

Note: you may need to change your computers output resolution so the dispaly fills the tv screen
Full HD ratio is usually 1080 using the HDMI cable
If you using the standard VGA cable you may just have to play around with the resolution setting
ALSO>>>>> make sure you pc and graphics card can support this kind of diplay output before attempting it
The TV Im using is a SONY BRAVIA Full HD 40" Bravia Engine 3
AS far as I know you cant as the ps2 cable cant plug into your computers graphic card.
If you had a ps3 you could the HDMI cable as it come with it in the box
Ps2 does not support HDMI as far as I know
Aw ok. thnx
No problem

Would I be able to play it PERMANENTLY?
Or can you only play it for a short period of time?
How do you know if your graphics card is full HD?
Thats how realitsic it was.
