@Breazona I don’t actually! Must be the graphics? I am feeling better thank you, still not 100% but well enough to play, I slept most of the time I was sick so no Sims for me 😂 aw thank you! The story is based around a challenge I made where each gen is a pack and it really helped me explore careers I’ve not normally played!
Naaja is so pretty! How rude of her dad to interrupt the celebrations by dying! It happens far too many times, I always do a check on who I’m inviting to a party because I’ve had far too many wedding guests die at the party 😂
So... after a long break I actually opened my game to play again.. wanting to continue with the story.. However, I had to.. or wanted to.. do a chapter that was a little leisurely where perhaps not to much would be happening to ease myself back into it..
So.. for this chapter, I will be sort of picking up where I left off before I did this entire Bushweeds tour thing, that is with the couple Bhavan and Beate. The change here, which was planned all along though, is that I will make a jump to the household of Beates family - The Curious family. A family that I know very little, pretty much nothing, about.. so the reason for doing this was to maybe get to know them a little better. Though I ended up following Beate for most of this update anyway.
In this update it is clear that Beate has some wishes for the future.. which I plan to have fulfilled - to the best of my ability - in chapters that follow, but none of them will be fulfilled here though. :P
For most of this update, Beate goes to hang out at the Red Rendezvous with her friend Smaragd, where she reveals her plans for the future and spots a celebrity she wants to impress...
Now.. from here on, of course, this marks a point where I want to get back to sharing regular updates.. however, I think to not end up in the same place again where I feel burned out and stop doing so for a longer period of time, I will aim to go at it a slower pace and not push myself to deliver updates to often. Before I actually aimed to have one update once a day, but that is just not possible.. so, the next update should ideally be here sometime during the next month..
It might not happen before we get the new forum, and since I don't know what things will look like once we do, I don't know where it will be shared either when that time comes, but I always have my blog if all else fails. :P
Until next time... now I will go to bed, because I have to get up really really early for work tomorrow.

Currently watching the weather as the county to the southwest of me has a tornado warning. I’ve got three more days off so I thought I’d try to play something in the Sims to post here.

I pray y'all will be safe from the weather. Dang Beryl still isn't done slamming into us. There's been tornado warnings all over southern AR and now it's moved into Central. We just got out of a tornado warning in our county and thank goodness nothing touched down. 🙏🏻⭐

Hello everyone! As I don't know what the future of this thread is, I'll keep it short. Thank you all for the comments, and wonderful updates everyone .
My "lepacy" got rather quickly to the fifth generation, which means it's Generations time. I don't intend to add many more EP's though, as I don't need any of the Salt Lake expansions, don't really want to deal with Pets (which would be next in line) and, sadly, won't have much use for Island Paradise on this map, either. Which leaves Seasons, which will probably be the final addition.
Tameka Stewart grew up to a young adult.
As her mom got her during high school, she still has a very young brother whom she is putting into the crib here.
Her parents are a happy couple.
Staci died recently, and we will see whether Tameka will start a new generation on her own or needs some help - the girl is shy. She's got a boyfriend though, although I haven't looked yet how he aged up, which means we will have to wait and see whether that works out.
We will also see whether this is my last post on this forum. It's been quite the ride! Happy simming, everyone.

Well, not today, more like 4 days ago, but I achieved a hard-to-reach reputation with my main sim, Bianca Pistache:
She has the irresistible and great kisser traits, + level 6 ish by now in charisma (and she's a blue eyed golden blonde, lol), AND she is at university so it is relatively easy, but yey, finally something else than play "faithful", "naughty" or "cheater"!
Only issue is that she does it with every breathing somewhat aesthetically pleasing YA, so now the game is confused whether to call her man eater (People eater?) or Don Juan (Don Jean?)

Thanks for the memories everyone. So many fun and wonderful posts, legacies, and stories shared here; filled with laughs, tears, confusion, lol, and sometimes upset, but it all turned out ok. 👍🏻 This thread has enriched my life on numerous occassions over the past few years. It's also what helped me get back into writing. 📝And the friendships that have been developed here I know I will cherish for the rest of my life. 🥰 Y'all are wonderful and don't ever forget how amazing you are. 🌟 Such a beautiful, friendly, and supportive community we've had here and I hope it carries on to the new forum and new, lasting friendships develop there also. 👏🏻

I managed to play a bit today. I still want to get to gen 10 in my twinbrook save. Maybe I should play with a shorter life-span.

However, it's sad to see the other posts go down the tubes like this. It was indeed an era.

There were two birthdays today:
In Starlight Shores, Fred Young became an adult. I feel like going back to Roaring Heights, reseting this story completely or, let it be and visit them the way they are
I played vicariously through the reading of my memories on my My Page on the Sims 3 site, and contemplated returning to the most recent game, which the memory says was 2 years ago in Lunar Lakes.

This is the pre-made bloke, Petre who is a sports career person-sim and is fairly wealthy, bringing 80K to my founder-sim's household. He has only just arrived after she married him in the street in the rain on Love Day not on a date. He has 'commitment issues' and it seems that was a way to nab him. He is mature-aged, can't remember how much, but according to my little story captions, it means she won't have to put up with his commitment issue protests for all that long, unless he has a long elder life span or something.
The foyer of the house is temporarily decked out with cheap things and decorations to make do with until she had more money, and time. Now she has money, from him, and I suppose she has time. Do they get a honeymoon? I like to make a rule for myself though not to build or complete too much of the house too quickly in the legacy situation, a section per generation. Otherwise it gets boring.
Ok I see from the preview that it worked. That is from viewing the memory picture in a new tab and then copying the address bar link into the Image drop down box on the Leave a Comment ribbon. Not that that will be a useful tip for more than half a day now ...
Anyway, that's as close to playing as I'll get until after my exam. Back to cramming ...

This is the house, it looks horrible. However, its a shell with ideas. The front is supposed to be open so the fantasy tree lake across the road can be seen from key rooms, reconciling with the 'beautiful vista' claim. It's also got the round areas to be space-pod alien style, but not totally. Eventually sections will be improved and be more proper, neater. Maybe. Or maybe it could stay being horrible and even more so, stylishly like brutalism.
But be fun to play.

Generation VII Chapter Eleven Part II: Strength in Numbers
The wedding day arrives with a cloud of mixed feelings hanging in the air.
