I was hoping teens and kids could get embarrassed moodlets if they walked in on parent Sims doing ‘the freaky dance’. 😮😂 The need to lock doors etc.

Teens could get mad at affectionate parents etc. 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️ I hope there’s more options for the dating app.
Like family members to tell on others if either or both parents found on Cupid’s Corner. 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️ Just a bit of drama etc.

So the gameplay trailer shows a sim not enjoying a date because the guy brings his mom along. Unless the game is coded so family-oriented/socially awkward sims can randomly bring a relative along to their dates, this setup is both misleading and annoying. Don't show off gameplay - a bad date accompanied by a mom - if that gameplay doesn't exist at all in the game and you've staged it to look that way.

Of course, there is the chance that this "mom came to the date" scenario can actually happen in the game; I'd be happy to eat my words on that if it exists. Given how much they fake their other trailers, though, I'm not holding out hope.

Okay, I just watched the gameplay trailer and I can say with absolute certainty that I've never been this uninterested in a new pack since Journey to Batuu. An entire EP just about dates... Combine it with the GP about weddings, remove the bugs, and you may get a pack with some quality content. But not like this. I'm out.

Was not my fav trailer, but I'll wait for livestream :)

I wished to see the world too..
My love, my love, my fearless love, I will not say goodbye..
Sea may rise, sky may fall, My love will never die..
My heart, my heart, My drowning heart, Oh all the tears I've cried
Oh I may weep forevermore, My love will never die..

At this rate, it's going to be on the Creator Network to get me to care about this pack, because nothing EA has produced thus far is getting me beyond "oh, that looks cool" interested in the Build/Buy stuff. I've had zero interest in the gameplay (to be fair, a romance pack was going to be a hard sell for me anyway.)

Especially after saying they're going to patch the game so sims won't interrupt your date. Yeah, Let's see if sims can even recognize their potential in-laws.

Okay it sucks but my enthusiasm goes down by the day. I'm really not seeing much in this trailer, I can't see what makes it a full expansion pack.

So we will now be able to decide the goals on a date, that really does not sound much different compared to what we can already do since there is nothing stopping you from doing these interactions during a normal date anyway.

The way that they are setting things up in the trailer makes it look like you will be able to date different sims and find a partner depending on their traits and etc. and different scenarios will happen but I'm not so sure how well this will work in practice. The game is relying on a lot of randomization.

Yeah I dunno, this feels like My Wedding Stories.

Amazing mods have already created the DLC in this EP for free or donations..I really wanted a beach to make this world go round. :|

I'm not much of one for Romantic Gameplay in the first place. I just have little interest in it. I also don't play with mods anymore, as I don't like hanging my gameplay on someone else's life being smooth enough for them to have the time, energy, and inclination to keep their mods updated.

The gameplay trailer didn't sell it. Hoping to see more on the Livestream and Let's Play videos.

We got another food stand. Don't get me wrong, I like having new food (especially since the food this time might be more my style), and it's better than not having anything at all. But we've had stands in almost every EP since City Living. It just reminded me how there's so little to do in worlds, and one of the things we DO have is the same reskinned thing over and over again.

Yeah. We will no longer have arbitrary statistics to fulfill - that may or may not fit the situation or sims involved - like the current system. But we could already to whatever we wanted besides that. And tbh, making another checklist is still limiting yourself, even if you choose the options this time around. I'd rather have the Sims 2 system of being able to do what you want, but having a bar that measures the success and failure of a date while also taking into account a sim's wants at that moment.

I have this feeling since the first trailer, tbh. My first thought when I saw the date planer was: Say goodbye to your rewards from default date. Because that happened with MWS previously, they have never fixed it, and now it seems they kill these romance items, again. When you play only one family on the same lot all the years it won't matter, but if you're a player who restart often or rotate your families it's a unpleasant move.

On the plus side, it looks like a fun gameplay and I will enjoy the let's plays from other simmers, however this is the first pack I'm not interested to buy it for myself. I know these new animations were a lot of work, but sorry this trailer didn't show me any good reason why it's an expansion pack and why I will have to pay 40 € for this. You get a new skill and a unknown job (maybe freelancer again), some new animations and an unknown city. That's all too vague for me, if it would be a gamepack this advertisement would work better on me.

The gameplay trailer actually made me less interested in the pack :( Basically reiterated what was in the first teaser trailer, but this time with a faked story that most likely doesn't appear in game as a gameplay possibility.

Also with a voiceover sounding like a kindergarten teacher speaking to the class (no shade to the voice actor at all, they did the job as intended, It's the sims 4 advertising style direction that I don't enjoy). It felt weird having that voiceover style applied to an ad for a pack with a somewhat raunchy theme.

It's now up to the livestream and all of the EA creator partners as possible to try to show me why this pack is worth even at a discounted price haha.

Many have pointed out in replies (and I agree) for a pack about dating, there's not many new activities shown to do on the dates? I've seen some say, and it's a great point, why would they make an entire EP for dating but make the consumer have to rely on activities from OTHER packs to make the dates have more fun things to do? If you are going to center a pack around planning date activities, then give lots of more activities. An aquarium or arcade lot would've been great. Or even a non-rabbithole movie theater where they can do interactions while watching the movie such as
    1. Make a move (already in the game anyway? just make it available for a new activity).
    2. Hold hands while watching
    3. Whisper in ear
    4. sneaky movie make out

But literally I would just take some interactions of them pointing at fish together lol. I just truly cannot understand how this could be worth $40.

I'm really sad that the hotel is a rabbit hole. It was to be expected. A proper hotel pack would need it's own pack or be a main feature of a pack. But now that the team have taken the rabbithole route, I doubt we will ever get real hotels. I enjoyed watching my sims inside a hotel in sims 2. In sims 3 I didn't care, I am not interested in staring at a shell and imagining what sims are doing.

Why is there so little shown about turn ons and turn offs. We can see the interface for the dating app and the dates but why not for turn on and turn offs. I expected them to be more important for the pack because that should affect sims interactions all the time, not just during dates.

I hope the regular date still stays available. It would be sad if we loose the ability to unlock the reward objects from the base game like we did with wedding stories. Hopefully the sims team has remembered that the base game romantic aspirations have dates in their goal list. If they remove base game dates and don't add the new dates to the aspiration it might become impossible to complete.

I like that board games can be set for dates but I really hope the sims thought about cross pack compatibility and includes all games on the game tables.

Polyamory but cuddles with only one sim at a time.

We're still far from what TS1/TS2/TS3 ads showed us ...

You know, I was actually ready for them to use words like 'rizz' in the trailer to try to appeal to the younger generation ('How do you do fellow kids') and I'm so glad they didn't, but I WAS bracing myself for it.

There are not many activities that sims can do together in the base game so they have addressed some of that in this new pack with new games, cloudgazing, cuddling, and eating chocolate together. But that's about it, so it doesn't feel encouraging that their demonstration of a date for the voiceover girl was her just taking selphies. I assume that part of the date will be to discover turn offs and turn ons but they didn't show it here, they just display them at the end.

I agree, new lots like an actual motel, a movie lot or an aquarium lot would have worked well here. This pack seems to be focused a little more on the more intimate parts of romance but the way leading up to it seems to be left up to the base game.

I assume the penthouse suite is supposed have the singles hangout lot trait but looked more like they were just hanging out at someone's home.

I imagine the live stream will show more play

I would also say in Growing Together :
    1. Family Dynamics
    2. Social Compatibility
    3. Milestones
    4. Self Discovery
    5. Infant Quirks
    6. Confident/Self-Esteem
    7. Midlife Crisis
    8. Career rival and layoff
    9. Stay Over event

Several features weren't revealed before the livestream.

These Lovestruck features were probably a lot of work in term of development :
    1. Turn Ons/Turn Offs
    2. Cupid's Corner
    3. Romance Satisfaction
    4. Romance Dynamics
    5. Romance Consultants career
    6. Dating event
    • Romantic Boundaries

The goal of Growing Together and Lovestruck is to add depth to the relationships, it's what the players vote to the surveys in 2020.

Granted, we've only seen two trailers for this pack, but man this just isn't hitting. I'm genuinely feeling so disappointed already, and we don't even know the ins and outs of what's on offer here, but I'm speculating that it won't be much.

I get the impression that most of the time, labour, budget and resources went into this Cupid's Corner thing, as it seems like a lot of work to ensure it's fully compatible with the gallery and they've showcased it twice now. Am I supposed to be impressed by the addition of a feature that just adds a few extra steps to go on a date? Are the activities going to make dates more interesting, or will they still be just as dull and bland as they've always been?

I also feel like there's an emphasis on the more light-hearted and silly side of things. I understand that this is The Sims, and there's always a place for things that are silly and fun, but I can't help but feel like they've gone to town with the comical stuff, and the rest is probably just an afterthought. Sure, I guess most of us will all get a kick out of those goofy costumes for all of five minutes before never using those assets again. I want to believe that they're going to show off all these awesome romantic interactions, attraction system and animations that aren't so watered down during the next livestream, but I'm not holding my breath.

So far, everything about this just feels... soulless.
    Sims 4 Wish List:
    • > Option to toggle on/off random townie generation.
    • > Turn vacation worlds into residential worlds.
    • > Option to purchase separate worlds or a world pack.
    • > Sleepwear kit.
    • > Atomic age kit.

I gotta say, it's weird how we need a debut trailer, a gameplay trailer to explain some of gameplay, and then a livestream to explain what the gameplay trailer explained. I know interpersonal relationships are harder to visualize than farm animals or snow sports, but like??? It's weird.

Reveal Trailer shows a preview of the CAS content, B/B content and new interactions
Overview Trailer shows a preview of the features

Livestream shows how it works in the game and more details.

Because it's not an EP about activities like Snowy Escape or Horse Ranch, it 's more difficult to show something in a trailer.
