As it stands currently, we are planning to soft launch the new EA Forums site on July 15th. Once those forums are up and running I'll post a link to them here in this thread and as a site alert (like you get for Friday Highlights, Laundry Lists and Patch Notes) so it isn't missed.
A few days after the EA Forums soft launch we will make this site read-only, soon afterwards (a few days/weeks depending on how things look) we will implement a redirect to the new EA Forums for players who attempt to visit this site.

Maybe it means things will be unexplainably broken for almost a year with workarounds and then all of a sudden there'll be a joyful patch or fix and a week later all tossed aside and nobody cares anymore because the shiny new site will be open and then bam! Old site is gone.

Nah. After all, we're having a nice time winding it down here, they've put some lovely orderlies, chaperones, or what are they calling them, transition deputies for all our questions, and they're popping in and seeing we're alright. So nice.

So yeah, if its soft launch is posted here as a reminder, then these forums will be up at that time.
As this forum coming to the end. I return playing The Sims 4. Theme and seeing these characters and the worlds, I miss it. I know some play nothing but Sims, but sure there other who playing Sims either get on with their life or play other game then some return Sims.
I'm a British Geek who love Bella Goth, Behr sisters, Liberty Lee, Summer Holidays, Pleasant sisters and other Sims wafius/girlfriends. And like his Sims cats.

I'm a bit confused, but only read headlines. The soft start of the new forum will obviously not mean that we all can use it from the first day. To me it sounds like EA hopes it will be ready shortly after July 15th. I find nothing about an exact date, so it is quite unclear to me when the old forum closes. They can't close this old place before we all can use the new platform? I recall it being said when the "Screenshot thread" for Crystal Creation (?) was posted, it was said that it was the last such thread on the old forum. Meaning the new forum must be up for everyone before Lovestruck release. Feels a bit strange to make such a huge transfer the same week they release a new EP, but hey ho. Hopefully they already tested the new place well. There should dover with.
From @EA_Cade's last post a few days after the new forum starts this site will be "read-only", then a couple days/weeks after that they'll put in a re-direct to the new site.
