I will made my decisions when I will know more about how it impacted my gameplay and the content. Unfortunately have a strong mws feeling with this pack and the latest broken pack releases don't help either, therefore I fear the worst with this pack too. At this point and knowledge I will wait after the release, no pre-order this time. The items aren't worth, if I can't play my safefiles after.

Have watched the trailer and it's a total turn-off. With so many much-wanted things still not present that they would waste resources to further enhance things sims are already hyper about instead of making something useful makes no sense. Still think they would be better off fixing the broken stuff first. Like all the game breakers in For Rent. Or the EA app...

    Yes, later on sale
I'm waiting to see if it works and how much bugs it would bring to my game. I still haven't bought For Rent for this same reason, even if I really long for the residental rentals.

Also waiting EA to remove that shopping cart button.

I’m also an utterly boring romance player: boy meets girl, dinner date, takes her home, girl accidentally gets pregnant, they get married (or not) and then I get so bored, I’d need to switch households immediately and head back into the jungle with John Simbo ( my Rambo sim) in order to find and ask an Omniscan skeleton for advice about my next move.

Maybe John Simbo needs skeleton lover to spice things up? maybe they could do that jungle thing together?

Oof, that conjured up an unsettling image. 😵

I’ve done two skeletons, however, moving forward with them in terms of romance has been proven difficult. They can’t reproduce. They can’t have skeletal babies. Let’s be honest here, how cute would a wee bundle of bones be? It’s one of those typically quirky “The Sims” features to have incorporated into the game, something a little out there why not, plus, in TS4’s cartoony art style this could work beautifully.
Come on, nothing ever really “dies” in the sims, especially if we don’t want to, so for the weirdos like myself and other occult players they might as well go all the way.

I do wonder if occults get special romance options available with this pack installed. It’s easy to imagine two werebeasts woohoo-ing that lurv blanket to absolute shreds, but what else? The gameplay trailer won’t provide us with this information, but maybe the livestream will, assuming there’s gonna be one.

It makes sense that they can't reproduce, because they are dead and technically incompatible with life. Maybe they could adopt a worm or a bug or something else that's a bit creepy that they found in the crypt. Or a dead baby skeleton. If they adopt a live dog it would try to chew on their leg bone, maybe could even run away with it. Maybe they could have a nice interaction with the cowplant skeleton, like maybe if it's bones become disturbed they could try put them back together in order. Or they could have an interaction with the science career skeleton and greet it every time they pass it by. Generally, I think it there should be a clear definition between the life states and what can be done and achieved by any of them and how they interact with their surroundings because this adds to the depth of the game. If every one of them could do anything then there's no clear definition of them and they just become regular sims in costumes.

Excuse me, vampires can reproduce, and those lads are as undead as the skeletons! 😅

I would still like them to be able to produce offspring in their own mysterious ways, although I agree with you in that their offspring should be significantly different to that of “ordinary” sims.

No, we don’t want them to be babies and children wearing different skins only - I’d mainly be interested in gameplay elements that pertain to occult specific traits and behavior. To take your example, we should never ever place a skeleton baby near a dog.
This is getting dark. Not my fault.

I'm really excited for this pack, more excited than I initially thought I would be based on the leaks. I'm also still very much "team sims" and want to support the game so I will buy on release at full price even though I know eventually it will go on sale.

That being said, the last EP broke my save. If this EP breaks my new save I will become far more cautious in the future. Fool me once...

Technically in ts4 sims don't die to become skeletons they use relic for it

so I think it would be simply normal that your infant, toddler, child or pet might get their hands or paws or teeth on your relics and try to play with them and turn into skelly version of themselves too

I do wish that skeletons had option of wearing clothing like Bonehilda though
sometimes you just don't want to leak your medical details to everyone you meet

Vampires become vampire through bites, they get infected and can get cured of vampirism. They are not dead so they can still produce offsprings. The coffin bed is misleading, it is there to hide their vampire status and also protect them from accidental exposure to the sun.

    Undecided.

Honestly, while I really enjoy romance themed gameplay, I don't feel like I need this pack. Most of the new features that I might be interested in I frankly have already through various mods. It almost seems to me like the development team looked at some of the more popular mods on Curseforge and decided to make a game pack based on them.

So, I'm going to wait and see a) what the pack really has in it, b) how buggy it is on launch and, probably most importantly, c) how it compares with those mods.

Maybe someday. I like romance gameplay and loved the past romance themed Hot Date from TS1, but this isn't Hot Date. A lot of its features are available through mods I have had forever (like Wonderful Whims). Dating apps have been done by more than one modder, as well. Official Turn ons/Turn Offs and Dating App will be very valuable for console players who can't play with mods, though.

The different types of dates is something I want to see more about, though. Dates in The Sims 4 are so bare-bones.

Ah yes, there is Dead, Undead, and of course, Mostly Dead, and I daresay there is also the Restless Dead, Beyond Dead and those who Defeated Death. So the qualifiers of reproduction are understandably confusing. But then, Dead Can Dance, so that stirs up the conundrum as well.

But I think I could envision some skeleton parents "building a better baby" from their own bones. Then the DNA and "genetics" would be present. Though, they'd still need milk to strengthen and grow those bones, but therein lies the problem.

In any case, we would need some fine skelly outfits beyond Bonehilda, I think. Can't very well go gallivanting about in a peek-a-boo body.

For skeletons maybe they could get a different set of wishes and aspirations than living sims, more in tune with their state, which is only slightly more than ghosts. Maybe they could steal a real baby if they want one or make a ragdoll look alike.

Fairies are known for stealing babies. Skeletons, not so much.

But let's not get hung up on technicalities. We need proper skeleton babies, period. :D

Precicely like that. "build a baby."
Obtaining milk shoudn't be a problem. For example, skeleton parents should be able to concoct bonebroth for bony babies- a brew consisting of mother's bonedust mixed with crushed deathflower root and a splash of water. Skellinfants should be able to learn to play bone xylophone with their little toetoes, and kids should have an option to play cup and skull with each other's heads. Instead of skill building they do skull building.

    So many options!

I've always gotten xpacks but this one, while I will get it, was the iffiest. I think curiosity won out. I have a system for matchmaking but it's cumbersome and it might be nice to try something new. I also love getting new worlds.

One should never conflate fairies with skeletons.

Fairies are fairies, they come in many shapes and forms. Mummified fairies and those that take the appearance of winged skeletons live in bogs, at least where I'm from. Fairies can steal their little hearts out for all I care, it's what they do, it's how they survive. My house is protected from the wrath of the fae, I'm not too worried about that. Skeletons on the other hand, they are completely different and I certainly have a bunch in my closet...

Sorry, what was the topic again? Will I purchase Lovestruck yay or nay?
    I already said I don't know yet. 😇

I actually can't think of anything I'd want less than this. For me to even consider it it would have to be greatly reduced in price, given the theme is not something I find necessary - for me, there's enough romance related stuff in game already.

Speaking of, the price has increased from Just About Manageable to No Chance To Manage, which makes it even less palatable. At a time when many people around the planet have a lot less disposable income, increases in price on what are effectively non-essential items diminish any potential purchase.

I usually wait now to see if there are any bugs. I wanted to buy For Rent immediately but I'm glad I didn't. But I really want that messy bed and crying makeup. Are they worth $40.00 dollars? Probably not. I might wait until the last minute and if it isn't horribly broken, I'll get it for the extras.
